Please only head admins or game admins can correct any issues between the game server and the redirect. And no there is no stepping on toes to do this it should be done from time to time to insure maps are all the same. Same goes for the mod folders. Players should correct any issues between their map folder and the redirect. The qport error is not a random error it only happens between map changes. It is when your in the game and the game server queries your machine for certain info so you sync with the game server. If there is an issue between the two or there is some loss of communication your game crashes and cannot tell the game server your gone. So the game server retains your player status till it times you out. The game has never been good with this but I've found the problem is usually from a player having a bad copy of the map or mod. Now for how much time to allow it well that's up to the person who makes the choice. If its too low you lose people who take a long time to download a map from our redirect and it kicks them to the game server for the map giving you the complaints of downloading maps at 12 kbs. And yea I'm not technically trained I'm self taught so I do not posses the good talk for said stuff. But I care and have people skills. So I'm able to say DJ was not calling me stupid back there he was just lacking in people skills.

I do not know why they crash on map changes so as I can't figure out one thing it might be so it must be random ?? The closet thing I can figure is it happens with the hand off to the redirect. That's a guess. How long the duplicate qport remains is a setting we can change though. I think that because if you lower or raise the connection time to the main redirect it it lowers or raises the time you stay connected with the qport error. All other time related settings affect the players in game. @@Blaze the ff error is a bad map download you have. Try to remember what maps you are getting problems with and delete them and reload. http://www.xiredirect2.com/redirect/cod5/usermaps/ Another thing everybody can do is learn how beyond compare works http://www.scootersoftware.com/download.php and make sure the maps you have match the maps on the redirect. One of the biggest repairs we did was insuring the maps on the game server and the redirect were exact copy's of each other and that solved 99% of all the errors we used to get. TY Mr. Beers for doing that

Dj's right that setting can be the same time as the lengh of the game in FT. The server disconect is on the main config // Client Download Settings, 0 = off, 1 = on. Used for MODs and custom maps. set sv_allowdownload "1" seta sv_wwwDownload "1" seta sv_wwwBaseURL "http://your.redirect.com/cod5" seta sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0" The problem there is it's main use is to stop people from downloading forever and screwing up the game. So if you set it to 3 minutes you get 3 minute of downloading the new map before it releases you and lets somebody else use that spot. At the same time it hold you for 3 minutes in the case of duplicate qport. After 3 minutes you can go back and try to get back in. So the best way is close the game and restart it. Or find an admin or hope an admin see's your stuck.

So like with the the planes and tanks if you pay you will be a one shot wonder. If you don't you will need a lot of ammo.

I have not done it yet but that is the procedure I will follow. And yes after the clean install you will have to reload anything you want to use again. Nice fresh start. I promise myself I will not use my main hard drive to test any other programs. Or load any other useless apps that I think are cool. No more clogged Os I promise

From Dj's post that I lost . From the winsupersite http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/windows-10-clean-install-using-media-creation-tool#slide-0-field_images-57241 The other way to clean install from a valid Windows 7 or 8.1 system is to use the same media creation tool but instead of creating a USB drive to boot from just select the option to Upgrade this PC now. That will download the Windows 10 ISO and begin the upgrade directly in the current OS. I then selected to keep nothing from the Windows 7 OS in this case so that meant no settings, files or anything was transferred into the new Windows 10 installation. I was also prompted to go through the entire Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) by selecting my basic settings including logging in with my Microsoft Account. When I logged into the desktop it was a clean installation of Windows 10 with only my info provided during OOBE there. This was such a clean install that the Recovery option that is normally available for 30 days after upgrading Windows 7 or 8.1 was not even present. I then checked the system page and it showed Windows 10 was activated and ready to go. There is no reason to believe this same process would not work with a properly activated Windows 8.1 system as well. See the screenshot gallery for a walkthrough of the entire process. Let us know how your own upgrade situations go in the comments below. I added the winsupersite link

I'm amazed that some people even leave there bedroom with the fear they have. What is so important to you about the info of the virus you downloaded that you do not want MS to see it ? They all ready know where your IP address is from through your ISP. Sure hope you don't own a smart phone. On this web page the only reason you have the freedom to say what you do is because Rugger and the team says its so. Its not your right in here and no law I think will make it so . Its a private owned site with a ULA that nobody reads. So why are you on this page BTW all you type is public as well. There are pictures of you and you have given up your location on a 3rd party site look out that's all out there now. Really what windows is doing is trying to stay relevant in there industry. What I'm trying to do is have a good OS that's maintained and updated so my network remains safe. I hope that one day they find some piece of info on me that makes me important enough to store. This from what I've read is the last OS windows is going to make. From here its going to be updated for free for ever. I'd even be happy if they went the same route as Apple and charged 25 bucks for the big updates. This is good and people should do the update for there benefit and not worry about the doom Sayers. OOOOOHHHH NO there's a camera hooked up to the city and police and fire department they're following me now run hide. Run around teh corner shit the bike courier 's got a go pro and he seen me into the cab fuck the bastard took a pic and sent it to dispatch I'm doomed now.

I need a list of all drivers when you install a new motherboard!
Labob replied to BigPapaDean's topic in Computer Help
for the virus !! format and reinstall the OS this is the only thing that works forget what they tell you don't waste your time. If your using win 7 or above it will load the MB drivers for you. To check your drivers out go start / control panel / device manager. If there is something not working you will see it in the list. To check direct x click start and in the search field type dxdiag them click on the dxdiag.exe and look at the new window it will bring up. After it runs through its test you will see a little box marked next.
