  1. @RobMc they say BEAUTY IS IN THE HAND OF THE BEHOLDER! It was reported to be in a place of beauty was it not?
  2. Forgive my ignorance! Is that a pork loin? Are you making pea Bacon or back bacon? EDIT: Looks might fine! I'm thinking one of those little crispy bits on the top would go good with a couple of fresh eggs and home made bread toasted!
  3. Great looking pizza once again!
  4. this is the best I can do lol!
  5. These are LOW cal too! The bottom crust has 1 cup of shortening, 2 cups flour, 1 cup brown sugar, blend/cream together press in a 9x13 pan, bake in a 350f oven until golden brown. While the crust is cooking mix2 cups brown sugar, 4 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp salt, 2 tsp baking powder, 4 tablespoons of flour and 2 cups of sweetened coconut short cut or fine cut. Mix with a blender until smooth. Add to hot crust after the crust is golden brown. put back in 350f oven bake until golden brown. We prefer ours cooked until the edges are crunchier.
  6. These are an old favorite in my Family. We call them The Boys Squares. I got the recipe from my mother so I could make them for my dad. He's been having a rough time but some days when he has an appetite I think he will enjoy these. They are his favorite.
  7. These Coconut Squares are the favourite for my dad and brothers. In our family we call them the Boy’s Squares lol. Very excited at how good they turned out. Wife would kill me if she sees the picture of her oven before she cleaned it. Men don’t care about that lol.

  9. Welcome to the forums from New Brunswick! I suppose with the lockdown arrives on the 26th you’ll have plenty of time to play. My oldest brother lives in Napeon. I have 2 sisters living in Orillia and one brother living in Kemptville. A very Merry Christmas to you and your family. Stay safe during lockdown.
  10. Rob I’m likely guilty of talking too much. I was likely traumatized when I was a kid. You know I had to respect elders, not act like a spoiled kid do what I was told, got a whack or a slap when I acted up. You might remember Rob when kids weren’t allowed to be complete little shits. When they were they had consequences to pay. Oh those things my parents taught me paid off. I’m self sufficient, have zero dept, own everything I have, have a great loving family. I guess those slaps paid off. Wow I guess I can stop seeing my virtual Therapist. I just cured myself. I’ve also been rambling too much in some of my posts but hey again I’m old lol.
  11. To my UNTRAINED eye it almost looks like the video has been speeded up! I’m old and my eyes aren’t as good as they used to be. I even tried to close on eye and it still looks like the video has been speeded up. Remember you better watch out, you better not pout! You better not cry I’m telling you! Santa Clause is coming to town. He knows when you been lying? Not sure if this last line is correct, again an old age thing!
  12. OMG, you might have good point! Some prima donnas I suppose. The Mute button can be a good friend at times.

  16. I love snow as long as it’s in someone else’s yard! I hate it in my yard. I hate the cold, I hate the slush tracking in the car, in the house. I hate the dirty salty mess all over the vehicle’s. Ba Humbug I hate winter.
  17. What’s REALLY wrong with this is that SSSOOOO many of us don’t realize this until it’s too late! 50/50
  18. What you paid $13,000 to put I hole in your roof? I must say the bottom picture looks nicer to me! Congratulations, glad you had the insurance.

  23. They take a bit if work to keep them clean around the skin folds. So many people acquire animals before they really think it through and end up getting rid of them. Really glad you took her in. I see she’s spoiled already lol. Wayne
  24. Here is another Lebanese dish called Kibbie or Kibby. We eat it RAW or cooked. I ground my own meat. I mostly use beef eye of the round in the Middle East lamb is mostly used. I remove all traces of fat, grind the meat twice. For every pound of meat I wash and soak 1 cup of cracked bulgar wheat. While the wheat is soaking I purée 1 onion per pound of meat. To the onion add salt pepper mixed spice all spice cumin cinnamon and mint. I then add the the onion and spice mix to the CHILLED MEAT. I drain the water from the wheat. Using my hands I squeeze as much water out of the wheat as I can. Add the wheat to the meat and mix thoroughly. Let the kibbie stand in the fridge for about 30 minutes or until the rest of the meal is ready. Put the Kibbie on you plate pour olive oil over it and eat with pita bread. I’ve added pictures showing raw and cooked Kibbie. The cross on the Kibbie signifies our Christian Heritage. My family used to me Maronite Christians from the mountains. You can also see Lebanese string beans in meat and tomato sauce and grape leaf stuffed with rice meat and tomato sauce.
  25. My Dad’s parents immigrated from Lebanon around 1904. We have continued to enjoy many beautiful dishes from the mountains of Lebanon. These are called Fatayer. We use a yeast dough rolled our flat add the filling and fold the dough in a triangle or half moon. We brush the duo with oil and bake. The filling is ground beef or lamb, stewed tomato’s, diced onions salt, pepper, cinnamon, mixed spice, all spice, cumin, and sometimes mint. One of my sister’s made these.
