  5. I think that surgery is in my future. If I reach out or up too fast and too far, WOW I get a shot of pain. Been doing the exercises recommended but it reoccurs.
  6. Sorry for your loss Spin. I have felt your pain. My avatar is an indicator of my love of dogs.
  7. This is true, I did it in the late 60's. I was probably about 12. My buddy and I had bows and arrows and enjoyed going hunting for anything that moved, but mainly rabbits. Our travels once took us near a large city zoo. Since we seldom wandered that far from home, we decided we should pay a visit. As I recall, it was a Monday and entry was free. A good thing because of course we had no $$. Since it was a free day, there was no one monitoring the gates and we walked in armed with our bows and arrows. We spent considerable time walking around and checking out the animals. Not once were we questioned, stopped or challenged about anything. Fortunately it never crossed our minds that there were cages full of live targets. We left, walked home and called it a day. I can't imagine what would happen today.
  8. The Michigam smallmouth record that stood for 100+ years was broken recently, a 9.32 lb monster. It was caught on Hubbard lake in north eastern corner of the state. I bass fished there once and got skunked. http://www.grindtv.com/fishing/michigan-angler-breaks-109-year-old-record-for-smallmouth-bass/#aXYbwgMU1sBX901j.97
  9. Chicky has a lot of admirers.. Of course they're all hungry.
  10. Sorry for your loss Chili. My thoughts are with you and your family.
  11. I saw this post back in July and thought that GoodRX was probably some sort of web scam, too good to be true. Scam or not, I was going to give it a try because I have a prescription that runs about $250 per fill. Today i went to the pharmacy with GoodRX coupon in hand and asked if they would accept the coupon. OMG, they reduced the price to $28.42. Thats from $250 bucks. Thank you Little Old Man and XI!
  12. The major players have been adding a number of additional handling fees to their regular rates. Things like dimensional weight can easily add $5-$10 per package. Can't forget the commercial versus residential fee. And you can't ignore the fuel surcharge they tack on. A consumer doesn't see that. It's added to the shippers weekly bill based on volume. Also, the restrictions on what can be shipped via which service has increased cost and reduced service. If a product could somehow be considered hazardous, and the carrier could somehow put it aboard an aircraft, the shipper has to be able to route the package via a ground only option. Something like a 1/2 oz. of nail polish forces the package to go via ground. If it doesn't get routed via ground and a hazardous item is found, the FAA shuts you down and imposes big $$$ fine. Probably more that I've forgotten.
  13. Very sorry to hear of your loss Huskie. My Condolences.
