For me it was a better ping. I've got a 100MB Time Warner connection but would ping in the 120's to old server with frequent lag spikes. I'm pinging in the 70's now. I played for about 2 hours last night and had 4-5 lag spikes (very brief). For me personally, I prefer this server over the New York one..

I've got a couple of beta keys for a new RTS coming out called Etherium. Im a pretty big CnC/Starcraft fan and thought this looked pretty good. The only rule is: If I give you a key, you have to play, preferably with me. Message me if you are interested.. D

Just want to mention that Google never acknowledged they were hacked as they saw no indication or evidence that they were. They aren't even sure the list is real. It never hurts to change your password to be on the safe side and for gods sake, please don't link us all to bunk sites.

Show you eagerness and enthusiasm for the job and the willingness to do whatever it takes to learn whats needed for the job. You are a smart dude, and you are capable. Show that in the interview and everything will be fine. The worst that could happen is that he says no, which , honestly, is a good thing. Do you have a degree? If so, OCS is the way to go. Regardless, expect to be gone 3-6 months for basic/A-school right off the bat. Being from Irvine, if you went Marine Corps, training would be right down the road from you at MCRD San Diego and Camp Pendleton.

I also use Classic Shell. I've been an IT professional for 16+ years and I can say Windows 8/8.1 is solid. If you don't like metro, get Classic Shell and you will never see the metro interface again.

Any chances of moving this server? High pings are running rampant here. And when does the mod get updated with the changes that has been discussed? Transparent bubble is needed pretty bad..

Try this: 1)Navigate to your windows folder (usually c:/windows/) 2)Inside there, goto the CSC folder 3)Try to open the folder and it should fail (if it doesn't, you have a different problem). It'll come up with 'You don't currently have permission to access this folder' at which time you keep pressing continue until it says you've been denied. 4)Right-click the folder, go to properties. 5)Go to the security tab at which point it'll say 'To continue, you must be an administrative user with permission to view this object's security properties' at which point you click continue. 6)Click on admin in the owner tab which will swap the owner to the administrator then click OK. 7)You then click on OK once again which will bring up the security tab. 8)Tick 'full control', press OK twice to get out of the properties tabs. 9)Run the game. If all else fails, uninstall, delete local content, and reinstall.

Its not sli compatible and it runs on 3d mark below a traditional nvidia 550ti. Is there any way to add launch variables?? I found this recommendation to reduce lag.. The RAM variable would need changed, but maybe it could help. If you watch in in youtube, the description has a text version I believe.

Allocating Minecraft more memory is probably thee best way to prevent the Minecraft Has Run Out of Memory crash. I've been experiencing similar issues on the MW2FT server. I had 2 CI's last night, along with a couple of other players. With a 100MB connection from Kansas City, I still ping over 100ms.
