Lol! Great way to send off on a vacation, meeting an XI member (especially hxtr.....) On our way back, thnx for coming down to the River Walk Jeff, we had a blast. Welding an aluminum casting is tricky at best. Especially one that sees the stresses of combustion/heating cooling cycles. Best bet is a new head. Had some success welding castings, but it's a 50-50 proposition, and nothing I'd risk getting stranded on the water for. Honda generally has high quality parts, but they have been doing the out-source crap lately too. "Honda" no longer means made exclusively in Japan. I still run a 2-cycle OMC 115. Grew up with frang-dangers and can't part with mixing my own oil.
