What's funny about this is that the latest released included the bugfix "Bots are no longer dead-accurate at longer ranges.".. they are kicking ass even with downgraded hacks.

People like voting for fun, it's them trying to get a banner that says XtremeIdiots to the top of a webpage by repeatedly clicking a button. Just like gaming - no real benefit other than the fun you have doing it. To question why people like voting is similar to questioning why people like playing a certain game. -

Apologies, I made the assumption that the 'one extra vote' you were referring to was aimed at the quoted "That isn't cheating SOB" which was in turn referring to the one extra vote from a work computer. Not the quoted "Using an ip changer to vote 100 times a day is cheating". Either way, it is not cheating to vote multiple times a day from different IPs. It's cheating if you use an IP changer such as a proxy. -

Shouldn't affect other games, it's a bit of an unwanted Windows feature anyway. -
There is an issue where when you run Teamspeak and Insurgency, Windows comes along and reduces the Teamspeak sound. To fix this problem from occurring perform the steps in this bible guide: http://www.xtremeidiots.com/page/public/bible/_/insurgency/teamspeak-sound-issue-fix-r13

It's usually pretty good if you have a good password and use two factor authentication. The risk is minimal that the actual data would be compromised. Steam is a more reliable company in my eyes as they implement high security standards for all their products. But if you choose not to use them then you cal always buy the games in a shop and redeem the code.

Sure you don't already have that version? Steam downloads the latest version so you shouldn't need to patch it. Check which version you are actually running and also try verifying the game files through Steam.
