  1. I like to listen to music from time to time. Depending on my state of mind. So many time I run iTunes in the background while playing. I know thats not what was asked, but if there are times you want some background music. Running whatever you use to listen to music in the background works great. Listening to Black Sabbath and playing COD is pretty cool.
  2. My Soundblaster was doing the same thing and a driver reload cured it.
  3. Let he who is without sin ...
  4. My take and I dont care what others think. She was honest in her responses and is getting crucified for it. Thats Fucked Up !!!! All it relays is "Lie like a Sonofabitch" !!!! I bet the accuser has used the same word many times !!!
  5. So true !!!!! I quit using that crappy, shitty software moons ago. Its a damn resource hog !!!!!
  6. had that same car, but a crappy brown color, but was a fun lil car to drive (300z) I thinking 280Z for the next addition. Or a 260Z and put a V8 in it !!!!
  7. It is fun to get out in the studio and jam and record. Very good therapy. What DAW are you using for your stuff. I started with Tracktion 2, then Tracktion 3. Now I use a combination of Tracktion 3, Reaper, and Protools 10. Just learning to use Reaper and ProTools. This month Protools 11 comes out and Im eligable for a free upgrade to it. Cant wait. I use Alesis drum machine and Guitar tracks pro 2.0 very inexpensive but gets the job done. Traction, Reaper, Protools are beyond my budget but I can see they turn out some nice stuff. Are they easy to use? Maybe I should reconsider dropping some serious $ on some fresh software. Reaper is a full blown DAW and only costs $60 for the individual license. You can download the trial version, which is the full blown version !!! Its not limited. Just has a "splash screen" asking you to pay if you enjoy and use it. Once you pay the $60, the splash screen when starting up the program disappears. DAW's take some reading and usage to learn. But it will open up a whole new world. Tracktion 4 is out now, but is still "buggy". Its less than Reaper, but still in its infancy and crashes on certain systems. Reaper is the way to go. http://www.reaper.fm/ Download it and play with it. Like I said the trial version is the full blown version. Many just put up with the startup screen asking you to pay if you enjoy it. Later

  9. Yea if I had to push mow my whole yard it would be a "death metal" tune for sure.
  10. Actually yes !!! Needs a "shaker" track
  11. As I sit here on my mower I’m all alone with my thoughts Never know which one to hold to So many it drives me nuts I shake my head to clear them all out But I know I just can’t win I try to focus on my mowing But those thoughts have crawled back in Solitude of mowing the yard Just me and the grass It’s like looking in to my soul Thank God, just one more pass I shake my head to clear them all out But I know I just can’t win I try to focus on my mowing But those thoughts have crawled back in As I sit here on my mower I’m all alone with my thoughts Never know which one to hold to So many it drives me nuts
  12. Did some re-recording on a tune I wrote a while back called "The Mower". While I usually enjoy mowing, many times, its a time where I reflect on past or current events in my life. Sometimes those reflections may be painful and or happy. Some times its just plain crazy the thoughts that sneak in. Anyone who spends time mowing knows what I mean. This is about the times mowing that "crazy shit" enters your brain. And no matter how hard you try, you cant get those thoughts out. Does that make me crazy ? While its still in the rough stage and needs some added instruments, Im happy in the direction its heading. Has a weird vibe to it, but that where it needs to be. Hope to fill in some needed tracks in the future, but for now, below are the lyrics and the rough mix. If you have headphones listen with them. Adds to the experience https://soundcloud.com/taxman-1-1/the-mower-3202
  13. I quit smoking several years ago. And the added energy you get or so called speed high from zero nicotine in your system will go away (or maybe you get used to it) !!! Either way the feeling and insomnia will fade !!! Stick with it !!! Buy a set of drums !!!! Electronic if you cant be loud !! Or an electric guitar (a descent used name brand). Dont go the acoustic route. Harder to finger (that didnt sound right).
  14. Nice catch and post Oldman !!!
  15. closer than that for me i can make the trip in like 30-45 min Im about 65 - 70 miles north of you. Headin your way in June to see Billy Idol at the Horseshoe Casino
  16. That one looks great too. Need to research its operating cost. Love the huge item cabability.
  17. Just think in 10 years where this will go !!! Hell in 100 years it will be like the Star Trek replicator, that they got their meals from.
  18. Keep us posted !!! Ive been reviewing printers for the past few hours and while the Cube gets nicest reviews, its cost to operate is high compared to the Makerbot You're going to buy one? Thinking about it. The Cube has the largest work space (can create items up to 10" tall), but the operating cost is extremely high. The MakerBot while lacking in max. height of an item (only a little over 6") is the most cost effective. But if your home made setup works and is comparable in operating cost and work area, then that may be the best bet. Are you documenting the build ?

  20. Anywhere from $2000 to $3000 for the Makerbot. Not bad considering the profit potential. And its a extruder. I thaught it had milling/drilling cababilities. Youtube here I come for more operating video
  21. I want a Maker Bot !!! Very cool and a wonderful use of new technology. Its just like a mini CNC mill (4 axis). Have to research these things. I know "machine code" from my days as a CNC programmer/operator in my youth. Spent 12 years doing that shit. Hope they use that language and interface with AutoCad. I just saw on MSN where somone made a 3D printed gun !!! Way cool stuff !!! Link to gun video below http://video.us.msn.com/watch/video/bullet-fired-by-3d-printed-gun-made-from-plastic/2sora6es5
  22. Damn, the casino is only 100 miles from my house !!!!
  23. Its a huge Milli Vanilli moment. If you cant sing live and have to rely on tape (well digital now-a-days) and or auto-tune to perform, then your in the wrong business. And will his career end like Milli Vanilli's did when they were caught,..... I doubt it. Kids now a days have no clue what true talent is and its the norm to have these fake manufactured pop stars. Yes it has gone on since the 60's but a least those pop band sang !!! You didnt have the editing capabilities that you have now. And or the vocal "plugins" and "outboard gear" that alters and corrects pitch and timing. Sad days for music in deed. And dont get me started on the audio quality (fidelity) of these "over limited, squashed, non dynamic and non panaramic mixes.
  24. The 300zx is becoming rare, very cool car from the 90's and probably one of nissans best Z car ever. On one of my many daughters 16th BD we got her a 1990 300Z, like the white one pictured, but a non turbo and its black (we did install a pop charger and test pipes). She says she will have it till she dies. The Z32 series was on R&T top 10 cars of all time for many years. Just wonderful cars. So comfortable, fast and I believe they were the first production car to pull 1g on test reviews.
