  1. Thats why they are beta drivers 1st........ I went ahead and installed them this morning. But just so you know why I usually wait. I had a set of non beta drivers, and had an issue with them, that the only reliable solution was to add a second monitor to stop the clock speed from changing, the second monitor held it at full speed. I had the wonderful problem of the pink screen for weeks before I stumbled across that solution. I had tried newest at the time, and even went back a couple sets trying. Luckily the second monitor trick worked, it just made it run hotter, but I installed afterburner, and solved that issue with it by forcing the fan to run faster. edit to add this : this was all on my brand new system this year, the GTX 560ti, which is actually listed as one of the bug fixes on this new driver release, so thanks. Glad to help, but i have the 560 TI (classified) card also and have had no problems what so ever..... you got lucky then. With just a single monitor hooked up, it would let the clock cycle drop speed when just browsing the net and watching videos, and would only kick up when gaming. But many times when I would go to watch a video on youtube, it would crash the video driver= pink screen with lines, audio would still be going, but screen was crazy, looked like an old cartridge video game when they got dusty, you know what I'm talking about, lol. would have to do a hard reset. tried for days to fix it, but the only reliable thing was adding the second monitor. all it did was force the clock to stay full speed all the time.
  2. there should be a way to look it up in your router. you may have to look at it "while" you think there is downloading going on. Personally I can't tell you how to find it, but I know it can be done. you can look at the ip address they are going to, and such things like that. one of our networking experts should be able to tell you how to do this. I can solve many issues on a single system at a time, but I lack the networking abilities.

  4. I have them, I got everything working good when I built this new system. except for the USB mic thing, that pissed me off. It's a freakin $30 mic, and the drivers for it screw up your audio output drivers in X64. For some reason the driver make your system think that the mic is being installed as a headset, and I worked for over an hour trying to get it to play well with others and it just won't. Googled it and the rest of the world has the same problem with the mic. it's a Logitech USB desk mic with an on/off lighted switch. Works great on Mercy's Vista X86, but not on mine.
  5. thanks Bud, let me know how they are working in a couple days. I always hate getting new releases. I'll give it a day or 2 then try it if no one is complaining about it by then.
  6. update audio drivers, or rollback drivers. there's a ton of different ways to "fix" it, but none are perfect or 100% reliable. what works for 1 or 2 of us, doesn't work for the next 2 or 3 of us. good luck.
  7. looks like fractals, cool pics
  8. Im on win 7 X64, but I also use a $3 mic. I tried a USB $30 one, but it is was incompatible with win7. I also have an Eighty watt sub in the floor, so I don't use headphones, my neighborhood knows when I'm online, LOL. and I'm also still using the onboard sound card, the build was $1,700.00 to begin with, and I didn't get a sound card to top it off. Editied to remove the smiley face for #80 eighty
  9. you might try deleting the mod folder and let it re-download, possibly deleting the maps and re-downloading them as well. Not sure if this will help any, but it's worth a shot. Maybe even just move the maps to a flash drive incase redownloading doesn't solve the problem, you can just put them back and save yourself from downloading the rest of them.
  10. Your in game mic setup will sound great in game, but the same settings in Team Speak will likely have severe feedback. I can't do both at the same time. I have to cut my input level back to use TS, and turn it all the way up for games.
  11. I use What's This on roasts, but sometimes, I will poor a RC Cola on it in a pan with some whiskey. Then add the spices. I cook it open for 3 hours or so, then cover it and cook another 3 hours or so. last time I added some Caribbean Jerk Marinade, and some mustard and a tiny bit of liquid smoke, and soy sauce. Cooked about 7 hours, it was actually a beef roast that time, but it was so tender I couldn't cut it
  12. Looks great
  13. We have gas cook stove and oven in the house, so I don't want a gas grill outside. I like charcoal or wood. I had a bunch of trees cut this spring, and i have been slowly cleaning it up and using it to cook with all summer. my neighbors probably think I'm nuts, but i just walk out in the yard and pick up sticks, and go start a fire in the smoker box, and start cooking. But I have only had to buy 1 bag of charcoal all summer, and I've been cooking every weekend for the last couple months.
  14. the do not call list does seem to have a time frame on it, we have to re-list every so often. Honestly I get more wrong numbers than telemarketers now days. To the point on one I get often enough from the same old woman trying to call her grandaughter. I usually call her back to make sure she's ok, since she called me by mistake and not her grandaughter, she gets a kick out of it, lol.
  15. thats the recommended cards for it, so anything better than that will be fine. 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870
  16. My personal preferance would be NVidia. I have always used them, and had good luck for the most part. driver issues once in a while, but usually just using an older driver solves the problem until a proper update is released.
  17. I got the 932 when I built mine, has a bunch of big fans, I run really cool on all my stuff, only about 40F above room temperature.
  18. what operating system are you going to use? if Windows 7, driver will install themselves for everything except video card. oh, and I hope you luck out better than I did on the Mobo. Mine said it was USB 3.0 and the case case I got has the plugs in the front for it, but when I got it in, the mobo spot did not have a socket for plugging up the case ports, and the mobo only has 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back of it. so I only have 2.0 availible on the front of the case.
  19. Happy Birthday
  20. he definitely has a distinct voice. and lots of fun to game with.
  21. So sad, sorry for the loss. Prayers for all of you, and your daughter especially.
  22. Someday, I'll be rich and famous, and can afford to go the >XI<Fest, and we'll find a smoker, and I'll I cook at least once. LOL.
  23. I have to brush and repaint mine every couple weeks now.
