  1. I am sick too.... no voice, week 3... Tennessee, at least when i got this they say cold/flu A (whatever that is), is the worst so far for flu/cold outbreak in the country of 50 states! SO... too many parties I suppose, Xmas germs. ANYHOW, I shall return when my voice comes back. Have mic, so get ready... Meanwhile, watching Where Eagles Dare for the 1000th time, Bridge Too Far, Band of Brothers, etc etc etc ... Hope everyone is well and happy this cold January.
  2. OK i WILL HAPPILY SHARE MY ABSOLUTE FAV VEGGIE LASAGNA!!! I serve it with Zinfandel wine at room temp, nice balsamic vinegar dressing salad and garlic french bread. ALWAY A HIT, great for buffet too, be sure to use a strainer to get extra liquids out of veggie mixture. Tastes great and can prep day before and cook right before eating, but add xtra 15 or so minutes cooking time or let go to room temp before putting into the oven. As always, ENJOY! While a specific "Mast Farm Inn" recipe isn't readily available, a popular version features roasted zucchini, eggplant, peppers, mushrooms, and spinach with a homemade marinara and ricotta filling, layered with no-boil noodles and plenty of mozzarella, often using a béchamel sauce for extra richness, emphasizing fresh herbs like basil and parsley. Key steps include roasting vegetables first, making a simple sauce, preparing the ricotta mix, layering everything with sauce, noodles, veggies, ricotta, mozzarella, and baking until bubbly and golden brown. Ingredients (Generalized) Vegetables: Zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, mushrooms, FRESH spinach, shallots/onion, garlic, fresh basil, parsley. Sauce: Olive oil, crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, red wine (optional), Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper. Ricotta Filling: Whole milk ricotta, eggs, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, fresh basil. Cheese: Mozzarella (shredded), Parmesan. Pasta: No-boil lasagna noodles. (Optional Béchamel: Butter, flour, milk, nutmeg, salt, pepper.) I DO NOT DO THIS PART imho ricotta and cheese is enough no need for bechamel Instructions (General Steps) Roast Vegetables: Toss chopped zucchini, eggplant, peppers, and mushrooms with olive oil, salt, pepper, and basil; roast until tender and slightly browned. OR sauté in large pan until tender when almost ready, add spinach, then STRAIN extra liquid. Make Marinara: Sauté onions/garlic, add tomatoes, paste, seasonings, and simmer. Prepare Ricotta: Mix ricotta, eggs, Parmesan, herbs, salt, and pepper. IF ROASTING VEGGIES, Boil Spinach: then strain out extra liquid Assemble: Spread sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer noodles, then ricotta, veggies (including spinach), sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers, finishing with sauce and a generous topping of mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake: Bake at 350-375°F (covered initially, then uncovered) until bubbly and golden, about 45-65 minutes. Let it rest before serving.

  5. back in college, one of my best friends got married (we were in Lexington Kentucky) ... we ALL (everyone who attended the wedding) brought our own Maker's Mark Bourbon bottle... IT WAS hilarious all those bottles at the reception tables. ALL of us drank bourbon and coke... lol What a silly silly fun as all get out wedding that was. They stayed happily married until he died of liver cancer - bummer.
  6. I just watched that post again, I laughed so much I am crying... these games are so silly. I will be playing it in Nov/Dec as much as possible, who knows, but for all playing, NOOB alert, easy kill, till I get used to it.
  7. HOWDY!!!!!!!!! Woot woot, does that mean you are going to start playing COD4 with us? Oh, and what a lovely picture of that pretty BIRD!
  8. i love winter!!!
  9. here it is, spot on. too early?
  10. first link is funnier, but here is another one -->
  11. HOW WONDERFUL!!! How adorable!
  12. Rob, just stop being a mean person, problem solved.
  13. I lived in VA near DC ... that day changed our lives forever. Like FDR said after Pearl Harbor, a day that will live in infamy... HELL OF A THING. May humans find their way out of the war-like beings we are. and evolve to be wiser, better, kinder, smarter.
  14. Since I cannot yet play BF6 (until Nov) I have been going to You Tube to see it in action, I MUST SAY (maybe I have a sick sense of humor) IT LOOKS HILARIOUS! I WANT TO PLAY!!!! So I watched this and it was funny so I am sharing.
  15. YEE HAWWW! My part of the woods.... HAVE FUN! But.... DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT do the MOONSHINE TASTING don't drink it if you don't want to have a hell of a hangover the next day and wonder what the heck all happened the day before ... https://www.tnshineco.com/ DO THE ZIP LINE!!! Even if someone is afraid of heights, blah blah blah, they gotta do it! https://www.westgateresorts.com/blog/smoky-mountain-ziplines/ (I like the ones where you go with a guide and do the hard stuff tarzan "survive amongst the trees" sort of extreme challenges - like obstacle course for zip lining. Wear tough clothing for that as you might bump into trees and such. You know, the ones where you really need to have great international insurance, but don't worry most like that are out of country for the crazy dangerous ones.) Around Gatlinburg most are tame and fun. DOLLYWOOD (the rides, whatever... but the MUSIC is really good) I just go to see the great landscaping for gardening ideas, to be honest. BEAUTIFUL - better than Busch Gardens imho. As for food there, yuck really... I suppose I like the Front Porch, but tend to just not eat anything at Dollywood, I really don't like "Southern Food" to be honest... (I am a New England girl at heart.) But right now there is the Harvest Festival Food Pass thingie going on... --> https://www.dollywood.com/themepark/dining/harvest-tasting-pass/#menu and the there is Aunt Granny's Restaurant which is pretty good. HAVE FUN! If staying at a cabin up in the woods, do NOT leave any food outside or eat outside actually ... attracts bears, they are gentle in TN, but still big and wild and we don't want those bears getting hurt (or the other way around.)
  16. Yes sir, Mr. Knight... lol
  17. I WILL be playing this game when I am in Maryland off and on this year and next. Didn't get to play the BETA so I will be an easy kill for ya'll when I do start playing BF6 once it is released and I am in Maryland (Solomon's Island). I have heard great reviews of this game! I used to love BF 2 and BF4 especially. Woot woot. I usually play as some form of basil in my name. Will post when I actually start playing in NOV.
  18. Back when I first started playing on this server.... gosh so long ago... Wildthing was an admin back then, and happier. Gosh he was so funny when he was happy. Life sure has a way to beat us up along the way. I used to just laugh and laugh, thinking this is the funnest server I have ever played in. These guys are sooooooo silly (Extreme Idiots... say no more). Wildthing, imho, is an institution all to himself. A pure, kind, wise, sensitive soul. I know folks piss each other off at times, hello... we are human beings... The Most Complicated Species on Earth so far (that we know of). We get silly, we get pissy, we get confused, we do stupid stuff, we do brilliant stuff, we offend, we bother, we comfort, we love, all those things - right in the games, all of us, and isn't it wonderful? I mean really. I give Rugger such a big CONGRATS for making all this happen, year after year. And Wildthing, you be you, let's all be who we are, why not, right? Mute... (I do use it often, I admit, when I want to - for whatever reason, mostly it is because I have a headache and it hurts - chronic migraines suck btw. I am well aware that some folks need to mute me, oops Sorry... I do hate getting yelled at for not giving intel, so I think I go way overboard with the intel giving. So please folks, mute me if I, or anyone else for that matter, bother you. Be happy, life is short! And gaming is fun, really fun, and if it isn't, stop gaming lol. Now........... off to game - YEEHAW! Love you guys, even the pissy ones lol
  19. So THAT is what you look like.  🙂 Hi :hi:

  21. My husband spent his Father's Day smoking a huge pork (butt maybe?) anyhow, OMG it is delicious! I don't eat pork (much) and not really into BBQ (much) - mom was a New Englander so I ate Northern food, and if you like great smoked food, GET A SMOKER!!! Yummy yummy to the tummy tummy. Ours is on our screened in covered deck, but it is put outside when in use, when not in use, it is used as a side table actually so it is practical. It is an electric smoker, 5 racks tall (removable racks). Decided to not get an indoor smoker, really like this set up. GREAT ARTICLE --> https://www.seriouseats.com/best-electric-smokers-8384987 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
