I am a huge King fan, but who isnt? lol I feel StormCrow's pain about Martin and his possibility of not finishing these books, but I have been here before with King, so have hope! :-) The main difference between King and Martin is he was truthful from the get go about his writing of the Dark Tower series, whereas Martin is just enjoying his newfound fame/status and is slacking like a mofo. HUGE Dark Tower fan - I surely hope the upcoming movies are up to snuff. King movies are either great or shite. I also enjoy Brian Lumley - especially the Necroscope series!

You all are posting some great shots here! I have been a photographer since I was 16. Started with Canon A-1s and AE-1s back in the day and have used them ever since. One of my first jobs was as a photographer on the beach shooting postcards and keychains for tourists. I used to do a LOT of darkroom work, developing and printing black and white and also developing slide film (E-6 process). I also used to do weddings but gave that up. I had my own business shooting Preschool kids during the week and pets on the weekends that I ran for several years. Also have done a lot of modeling headshots and the like for portfolios, etc. Since I have a great full time IT job, I mostly enjoy shooting people and landscapes/nature these days. I live on a lake and am close to the beach - good stuff. I am still shooting Canon and currently have a 70D with: Canon 50mm 2.5 macro Canon 28-104 F4 L Canon EFS 17-55 2.8 Canon 75-300 4.5-5.6 I just started playing with Lightroom last year, and have toyed with Photoshop for years as needed. I'll dig in to some recent stuff and post some when I have some time.

irregardless whether you use it or not, I would switch out the KB. You could have a bad or stuck key causing this. There could be something in that gamepad doing it too...

if you are going for that top end processor, there is no point wimping out on the RAM. 16GB shou8ld be your minimum

So can you after about a year or so when W7 isnt supported any longer. I feel your pain but it's inevitable. Still on W7 at home and work, but it looks like I am getting a new laptop with W10 on it for work soon. There are plenty articles and sites out that that delve into how to disable all that crap.

Nice CPU cooler! :-) I used that in my last build. It works well, but is a bit loud for me. Went watercooling this time and I'm convinced its the better route. I had that cooler and 2 other fans in my case and the new build is easily quieter by at least half if not more.

I appreciate and like all the work being put into the new site. HOWEVER.... I really miss the BACK TO TOP links in the threads! Some of these threads are HUGE and are wearing out my scroll wheel! Can we add this functionality on the new site? Either that or you guys owe me a mouse :-P LOL

not so much. This particular era in gameplay has been done and over done. And like others have said, they are not exactly covered in glory from the past few releases. The problem I see nowadays with PC gaming is that they are taking a console approach to EVERYTHING now in the way of games. No private servers, no mods, etc. As with BF1, I wlll wait and see what the opinion of the 'early adopters' are before I go shelling out any money. (Glad I didnt spend any money on that trainwreck. It's pretty, but that's about it.)
