Hey TSW, you finally are colder than we are here in Washington. We have had a lot a rain but it's neer 60 here yesterday. It will cool back down to 45 tomorrow and maybe 38 at night. Good luck Markoff, I would hate to be in that cold of weather. But I wouldn't mind being in Scotland and seeing some of my heritage. Don't eat yellow snow, but it probably freezes before it hits the ground. Pissicles.

Thanks Blackbart. I will check that out. I have been around guns all my life, but not pistols. I have my C&R so I bought a CZ52 a few years ago and it has better ballistics than a 9mm but it weighs 37 oz. empty, it only cost $120 at the time, and it is fun to shoot. Everybody has their own take on concealed weapons. It is good to hear from someone that actually knows. Thanks again.

There was some good tunes out there in the 80's a few less in the 90's and now there is still some worth listening to. I grew up listening to the 70's stuff and most of that was OK. But when the heavy metal came out in the 80's you couldn't even understand anything they said. So I am with you on that one. If you listen to some of the better groups, then you may find something that you like. But 75% of the music in the last 20 years has been crap. If you can't understand it, or someone repeats the same thing over and over, then why listen to it. And don't watch the videos, they scare the hell out of you. It is hard to beleive that a good song that you really like is sung by something that crawled out of the subway tunnel or something similar. Damn Back in the 70's I woulkd listen to whatever had a good beat to it, not necessarily the words. Like Alice Cooper's Dead Babies. That had a good beat but the words were a little extreme. So I blocking out the lyrics. To me nothing was that good until CCR came out. Oh I guess the Beatles had a few good ones. My top group that I liked would have to be The Eagles. Some of their songs had some real meaning. Chris Rock is probably one of the better ones today. But I don't know what he looks like, I want to leave that way.

As a Home Inspector, I would give the following advice. A Home Inspector is only responsible for what he can see. If something is intentionally hidden, then you wouldn't know about that part of the house. They are not supposed to remove anything in order to look at something. The good part of an inspection is that you find out about Electrical, Plumbing, Roofing, Foundation, Sub-floor and the roof structure. But an inspector can miss a lot. An inspector is actually not even required to get on the roof or crawl under the house if there isn't enough clearance. So a lot of things could be missed, but that is not the inspectors fault. Here in the US, there is only 8 states that even have requirements to be an Inspector. Here in Washington, you pay the $45 for a Business License and you can be an inspector. No training or any requirements. So make sure that you get a certified inspector. They are not government certified, they are certified by the fact that they belong to the American Society of Home Inspectiors. (or equivelant in Canada). That means they have done at least 250 inspections in order to join the ASHI. Good luck, just use your instincts and don't be fooled by some fast talking salesman. Ask for references from everybody that you deal with. Sometimes there is a reason why things are to good to be true.

Great Guns. I am looking for a Sig Sauer in .357 Sig. I was told it is almost as bad as a .357 magnum. Probably not a good concealed gun. I have had 9mm and .45 but I didn't care for them because they would bounce off a piece of 6 x 6 post. But I imagine that they would do a body good. I can shoot the same post with a rifle and it would blow the hell out of it. I just got my concealed weapons permit, I am not sure what a good concealed gun would be. I am not a pistol person I only have 3 and they can't work as a concealed gun. I did have almost 70 rifles until recently and I had to sell a few. I kept all of the assault rifles. I got some bad ass assault wepons. With thousands of rounds of ammo. People keep telling me that if all hell breaks loose they are coming to my house. What are other governments afraid of? That doesn't make since to repress the people like that. It is like the Canadaian border guards, until recently they couldn't have weapons and then when they could they left it up to the guards as a personal choice. When there was confrontation at the border the Canadians guards would walk away because they had no way of defending themselves. Each government is different, I guess, sounds pretty stupid to me. I am just glad that I live in the US and can have our freedoms.

Sorry to hear that Maz. It is hard to sell something that you cherish. It is really hard to get top dollar prices right now. I have sold about 12 guns in the last 4 months. I just sold a custom built .257 Roberts, never been fired for $300. A beautiful gun. Yours sounds like a great gun also. It is a nice deer weapon, don't expect to take anything bigger than deer. But that is probably what you got it for. I don't beleive people need a bigger gun for deer hunting. If they do it is a guy thing and not for neccesity. I have taken about 50 deer with a .243. It is not the greatest gun for anything else. But I have shot 3 elk with it, with one shot a piece. Hit them right and they fall like a rock. I have seen what a .30-06 does to a deer and I refuse to kill a deer with something that big, unless it is a head shot. You hit a deer broad side just behind the front leg, like you are supposed to, you will get blood shot from front shoulder to the rear quarter. That is a huge waste. I have seen it numerous times. With a smaller caliber rifle, you would get a small entrance wound a exit wound about the size of a fifty cent piece, maybe a little bigger. Not much waste. I was just making my agruement for using smaller calibers for deer hunting. Which you probably already know. Just trying to help you out when people ask ypu why such a small caliber. Smaller calibers are not for long range shots but most of the deer I have taken were less than 150 yards. So for all of you people needing a good deer rifle then hit her up. That is about the going price for that weapon right now. And the price will only get higher in time. So it is a great investment.

That guy made some valid points like Shamu said. This is a debate that will never be solved or proven, one side thinks one way and the other side thinks the other way. This will never change and nobody is going to convince anybody any different. We Americans like the toughest sport there is and that is American Football. The football players have to think more than soccer players.. In soccer they just run around and try to score. If you can make heads or tails of anything. The only time they have to use their head is to hit the ball with it. I know that is an extreme viewpoint but whatever. I did like playing soccer in PE at school. I know I will get shit about this, but it is just a another Americans biased viewpoint. I am not saying this to piss off our European friends. Lest just agree to disagree, that is the only way to solve this issue. The one sport (if you can call it a sport) that I don't get is wrestling. I agree some things are real but the vast majority is just a bunch of hype in order to keep the sponsors and fans happy. It is not a true sport in the sense of the way people would describe a sport. I don't beleive they should waste the schools money to have in our schools. Why would a couple of sweaty guys rolling around and shit be a sport. I refused to do it when I was in school, because it should of been up to the individual and not mandatory. I just could never understand it. At least in an organized sport, no matter what sport, people learn to work together as a team and that is far more important towards the aspect of real life.

I consider myself as a pretty decent cook. Have you ever gotten pissed when you go out for dinner and the chef can't cook as good as you do? I am self taught and mainly what I know is about meat and seafood.My brother in law has a job where he flys all over the US and he is always trying out ribs, he said there is only one place that even comes close to mine and that is a restaurant in Las Vegas. I make some killer ribs. I am not to proud to say that. Their damn good. Totally from scratch. I make some kick ass wine and beer too. I make my own Bacon, Ham, Summer Sausage, Corned Beef, Pastrami, several kinds of sausages, Head cheese, Lunch Meat, Smoked Cheese, Smoked Chicken & Turkey, Jerky. Once in awhile I screw up and a batch doesn't come out right. Oh well, thst's life. I have Smoked Salmon goimg right now. It would be cool to get some recipes from our members from other countries. I have a kitchen calculator that does conversions, so that is cool. I could put in a lot of recipes. And if we got enough together we could put a book togeher. I know of a place that makes spiral bound books cheap. I could help do the set up and whatever needs done. THE IDIOT COOKBOOK, by Idiots and for Idiots. What do you members think?
