The Flush From a non-SEC perspective, it was a pretty sad game to watch. Not much offense to speak of and I can't help but think that you put Stanford or Okie State in that game and they score at least 3 TD's on either team. Of course, LSU or Bama would score too but I don't think they have the offensive firepower to stick with either of those two. I guess we'll see assuming some bullshit doesn't happen where they have a rematch in the BCS championship game which would be a joke and top off the BS that is the BCS. I agree that the BCS is shit.... but I disagree that Stanford or OK State would have had even competed well, much less won. They haven't seen anything like LUS's & Bama's defense. 'Bama & LSU are juggernaughts this year, I don't think either team will lose again unless they play each other again in the BCS Champ game. Nothing at all against Stanford or OK State or anyone else.... but Bama & LSU are like pro teams. They're huge, they're fast, are 2-3 players deep in every position, and are coached by arguably the 2 best coaches in all of college football. If Stanford, OK State, OK, or Oregon played a typical SEC schedule, they'd all likely have at least 2 losses. Stanford just squeaked by USC, and will get their first true test against Oregon. OK State has done all right, but barely beat A&M and K-State. I just think they would get chewed up & spit out in the SEC. The SEC is always by far the toughest conference in the country, but the SEC West is a friggin' BEAST this year. And as far as the game the other night being a defensive battle - it was. Saban & Miles both understand one of the most basic concepts in football - "Offense wins games, Defense wins Championships". Personally, I'm wanting to see these two get a re-match for the BCS Champ game. It may not be a real exciting high-scoring game - but little doubt (in my mind) that they ARE still the 2 best teams in college football, and the viewership of that game would set records. IMHO

What do they want? They want to be the "Tea Party" of the left. The jealousy is obvious & throbbing. But the REAL Tea Party, is comprised of mature, employed, civil, responsible, law-abiding, HYGIENIC, reasonable people. They carry their Bibles & little pocket-Constitutions around with them, talk of the greatness of the Constitution and Founding Fathers, and sing "I'm Proud To Be An American" along with Lee Greenwood.... while they are cleaning up after their rallies. Granted, there are a few bad apples, but a very small percentage. The OWS mob (I won't even call them "Flea Party")....welllllll...... they aren't quite so civil. Or reasonable. Or law-abiding. Or hygienic. The riots, criminality, assults, molestations, profanity, anti-Semitic & anti-American chants, and the VIOLENCE kinda takes a little credibility & respectability away from them. Well, it takes away ALL credibility. Now I know that there are many respectable, civil, decent liberals among the crowd. But they are increasingly a minority. In an attempt to make themselves look bigger & more powerful, the liberals have (again) got into bed with the Progressives. They associated themselves with labor union thugs (who are CALLING for violence), anti-American militant socialists & communists (who are COMMITTING violence), anti-Semitic groups, the corruption-ridden ACORN slime, and every dredge of society that they could get to march & chant with them. *BIG* mistake to do that. Now there IS some validity to opposing Wall Street corruption & general corporate greed. BUT - you can either do that like civilized, intelligent, patriotic citizens.... or you can do it by acting like un-hinged assholes, and bringing in thugs, goons, and criminals. Half the people there are just there to party & protest & get attention & run around like animals. I hope that my honorable liberal friends, will talk to their other liberal friends, and convince them to take some sort of action to try to separate themselves from the profane, animalistic MOBS that the Progressives trucked in. If they don't separate themselves, they are going to get grouped in with the scum. And that is unfortunate. Liberals most often defend human rights, are reasonable decent people, and promote peace. I respect that. However, Progressives are @%&*$@@#holes (self-edited), that use Alinskey tactics to flame up hatred and anarchy, and divide people against each other, regardless of the effects. In short - I respect the few OWSer's that are there for honorable reasons. But the rest are just slimeballs trying to make trouble. And they are succeeding. Reasonable people know this (particularly voters) - and if this garbage continues, Obama may actually lose by a larger margin than Jimmy Carter. There's a LOT of good games out there, and $8 per month PLUS $50-$60 dollars for the game is exploitation/greed. IMHO.

Honestly, I don't like it. Nothing AT ALL against A&M..... a great school with a great tradition, no question. But A&M is NOT a Southeastern school. This just shows how college football is now being perverted for $$$$, as bad as the NFL. I used to be an NBA fan.... but it went to shit with all the money money money. I used to be a RABID NFL fan.... but it went to shit with all the money money money. Screw the NBA and NFL now. No tradition, no team loyalty, free agency... it's all about $$$, hip-hop culture, and marketing/television revenue....... and that sucks ass. That ain't football, it's commercialism. The SEC's definitive tradition, is that of SouthEastern rivalries. Georgia/Florida (World's largest outdoor cocktail party), Tennessee/ Alabama (Third Saturday in October), LSU/ Florida, LSU/ Alabama, Auburn/LSU, Tennessee/ Florida, Mississipi/ Ole Miss, and The Iron Bowl - Auburn/ Alabama - the Mighty Iron Bowl (I went last year - what a fucking GAME, what a PURE football environment.... the pure *essence* of college football!!!). The SEC Championship Game INVARIABLY has Natioanl Championship implications. We OWN college football. No offense meant, but its true. SEC football is Big-Boy land. I don't blame A&M for wanting to play against the best - if I were A&M's Athletic Director, I would give my left nut to get into the SEC. But I hope they are ready for a regular conference schedule that will kick their asses. An "average" SEC team will kick the shit out of most other conference champions. No offense meant, but it's true. A&M will be in the SEC West. LSU, Alabama, Auburn every year. Their ""easy" Eastern Conference games will be with Florida, Tennessee, Georgia, & S. Carolina. Enjoy THAT. Ya better get some Kevlar jock-straps. Texas, OK, California, Michigan & Nebraska have some good footbal, no doubt about it.... but it doesn't hold a candle to the SEC. Yes, I am biased. We (as usual) beat the fuck out of other conerence teams, but will struggle in the brutal SEC. The winner of the SEC West WILL be the National champions this year. Imagine that. Since there is nothing I can do about it, I guess I welcome A&M to the SEC fold. It ain't right, but it is what it is. The sellout of the last PURE sports environment in America, for $$$$$ and network contracts. Maybe Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, Notre Dame and Stanford will join the SEC soon. Damn.... a 65 lb Flattie is a hell of a fish, about the same as a 100 lb Blue - they fight a lot harder, especially in river current. Bet that was an "arm-stretcher", huh? After that last post, I called a buddy o' mine I used to catfish a lot with, and we're gonna go in a couple weeks. Gotta get my heavy gear back out & oil it up & re-string the rods.
