GorillaXI Never had a problem. I have had 2 Ipod's, an Iphone and an Ipad. Set up my Dad's Iphone and my Mom's Ipad. Not once have I had a problem. I guess it must be operator error. On the other hand, I would never buy/own a Mac. I am extremly well versed in all things electronic. I have a totall of FOUR iPods and will post a pic of them soon. I have used Winamp with the iPod plug in and it totally rocks. Drag and drop and done. I have used media monkey which was designed for videos and it behaves much better than iTunes and can be used to sync iPods easily. I have used Floola and while it is a very BASIC media mover it works at least as good iTunes. When I rip a CD I use Exact Audio Copy for extraction and Lame to convert to mp3's. I usually keep all files as wav's because I can hear the difference in just about everything short of 192 bitrate. So as far as operator error it's possible but highly improbable. The reason for four iPods-my family knows I'm into music and get them as gifts regularly. I also own two Samsung clips. I would also like to note that thru this thread multiple people, truely the vast majority, see it my way. So as to your point I see a total of TWO who like iTunes. Truely fortunate enough to be able to use iTunes with no problems. Side note: Do a search on iOS5 and iTunes.

I bought both my daughters Ipod touches for Xmas. The day before yesterday was the first day I got music on one for them. In the process I seem to have lost about 300gig of music and even more has been converted to AAC format and deleted the original. After fighting this foul thing for about a week I finally manged to get it to work. The oldest is happy now. On to the second........... I plug in the second, rename it ,and go thru the setup sequence. Easy enough, BUT even though I set it to be manually managed, it automatically loaded the WHOLE iPod. The next few minutes are spent sitting idlely while it syncs. Well now I can't pick all songs and delete I have to spend the next hour deleting the individual song separately. So today my task is to get the wanted music on the other iPod reload all my lost music from backup and keep my blood pressure low enough to maintain a healthy day. FUCK IPOD AND ITUNES.

I played yesterday two separate times and played without a hitch. Smooth and silky. Today I got on about 6;00 central and had to quit due to severe lag. About 30 people on. Later about 8:00 got on with 15 or so people and played a couple hours with a few moderate spikes but ran stuttery the last few minutes.

The Clash was a very influencial band hailing from the early 70's to the mid 80's (I think). When John Meloor saw the Sex Pistols he knew the direction he wanted to go. He got his group together to push political topic with underlying moral tones which became a huge success for them. I think the album "London Calling" became the album of the decade for the 80's. I know it was one of their albums. They had a huge impact on American music notably Nirvana and the whole Seatlle grunge scene. Enough of my erratic rambling on useless music trivia. As a side note, did any of my European friends happen to see a band called Penguin Riot in the early 80's? We were a group of guys in the Army and hit it pretty good traveling all across Europe until we were sent to Africa. If you don't know it Africa has some of the worlds strictest laws on music and literature.

The lag was so bad today I quit playing twice. Could the issue possibly be on our side? Maybe someone has a virus that is trying to break into the servers to control it as part of a bot-net? I know two people who have bragged on the forum about using no A/V.

In Dallas at the Galleria Mall the y have a smaller version open during the Christmas Season. It's set up in a 40 X 60 foot shop. Pretty cool but not on THIS magnitude!

Thanks guys. A guy at work raves about it. I got burned by steam on L4D so I won't but another steam only game. I knew you had to register thru them but I can't do a full D/L due to my 5 gig ATT limit. After it's installed how many gig updates are there?

Is Skyrim a Steam only game or can I buy a disk somewhere? I bought a case with a disk for Left 4 Dead which wasn't L4D it was a steam portal. I want to buy a game disk.

Yop and HXTR, you probably already have a self protecting virus. You don't need to "download" anything. They do "driveby downloads" nowdays. If you don't have A/V on your pc you have a virus or will get one. Microsoft SE did not find a test virus I have burned to disk. AVG and AVAST did. Malware Bytes found it. WebRoot Secure found it. Anyone should be running a router. Cheap insurance against drivebys.

I have Creative Fatal1ty series. I had many others and a cheapie $20 Wal-Mart was the one I used most until I bought these a few years back. EXCELLENT stereo separation. You can hear above , behind, and all around. I would recommend these to anyone. I use onboard sound from my Gigabyte EP45 series mobo and still have great sound. Since these are a few years old you might find newer tech that is better.

You can try control panel/all Control Panel Items/Action Center under the maintenance tab look for View reliability history. Maybe your problem is listed in there ? let us know Didn't know about this one. Is it 7 or Vista only?

Sounds like a heat or power supply problem. Clean your system well and retry. See if you can play solitaire or other non-intensive game. If it craps out then its probably power supply. It COULD be memory going bad but with the newer memories that problem has just about gone away. Good luck.
