I've deleted, unloaded, uploaded, and off-loaded enough time to know better. I'll tell ya need for speed never sounded better lol.

Your video card might be a little slow. Make sure you don't run you screen size bigger than 1024 -768 maybe even try on size down. If you want you could get a newer card it really can't hurt you plue we will be jumping up a level with cod6. Last thing I can think of is get an other hard drive and find a copy of windows 7 load the game on that. It will allow you to doulbe boot so you can choose what hard drive you want to boot from and see if that doesn't get rid of your woes. I think the latter is the way to go and by far the cheapest. Lwt me know if you need any help. Remember nothing here will get rid of all the problems but almost all will go away and you will be able to play the game .My last bit of onfo here is never never buy anything fron treyarse Awards

Some things that made a difference for me is I ran the game as administrator and set it up to run as xp, that helped the refresh thing. I just found out that there is a service pack 2 for vista and installed that last night and at the moment I am not locking up. You can right click on my computer and see what sevice pack you are running. My machine is good enough to run this game so that has not been the issue for me, built the thing myself though so who knows. vista 64 intel ix920 proc 6gb memory nvidia 295 gtx video card I updated all the drivers, turned off virus/spyware stuff, and unloaded everthing i could to try and get it stable, don't use xfire so that was not my problem.

I did forget about the sp2 for Vista, I bet shadow does not have it. I had it almost as fast as it came out. But, I definately don't run the game in xp compatibity mode. Shadow, looks like you got another job assignment. Good to see you on the forum Billy Awards
