I have mamy conflicting thoughts about this. Yes he got what he had coming to him, but after he is gone any further action to him is not doing anything to him that he knows anything about and will not in the least be effective for the problems we have in Ahghanistan at the persent. I know it would make many americans feel better to drub his nose but we as a great nation should always take the higher road. Having said that if I had family that was destroyed by the 911 events I wouldnt think twice about shitting on his head and displaying it. Then again maybe the family members that were killed may have said he is gone now so get on with your lives. I don't rightly know, but I do know this is a highly emotional issue regardless where you stand. Lets just stop and thank God he is dead and let God do with him as he will! I have been staying out of this but I started getting pissed as I continued to read your comments about our troops or policy and the "lowered" stuff. Our troops didn't organize or bank roll a mission to kill un-armed civilians with planes into office buildings, our troops attacked an enemy compound with a specific military target. DO NOT try to compare our military purpose of a war on terror to the acts of a terrorist. I recall we had a conversation some time back when I explained to you that your country does not possess the culture of defeating your enemy that we do. You told me that your country surrendered to the nazis because it was no bigger than New York. You remember we talked about how Belgium's surrender made it harder for the BEF (British Expeditionary Force) and more allied troops died because of it. Well New York got attacked and we didn't surrender we killed our attacker. Our troops went on a high risk KILL MISSION and they succeeded, mission accomplished. And they did it without killing thousands of innocent people we have officially RAISED ourselves to a HIGHER standard yet once again, and we are PROUD! People from another nation really have no idea what our way of life, pride, values and culture mean to us. Especially countries that have nothing in common with our international decisions over the last 80yrs. And for what it's worth, my uncle was in the 501st regiment of the 101st Airborne division and got half of his face blown off from an airburst in the Ardennes forest outside of Bastogne in January 1945 while trying to push the Germans out of Belgium during the Battle of The Bulge. He carried that reminder with him until he died in 1982. Those kids saw a lot of atrocities and sometimes didn't give any quarter to the enemy upon surrender. War isn't pretty but they sure as hell contributed in a large way to chasing the Germans out of Belgium. I sure hope that his sacrifice is remembered and not whether or not he may have busted a cap in an unarmed German that would have killed him if given half a chance. This was a decision not made lightly and the its outcome, as final as it was, was for the best. I still think it was a split decision by those men and it may take may years before we ever really find out. As for America? I as a neighbor to the north, we share a great deal of the same values and beliefs, but thats not to say we dont always agree as well. Amerca is the most wealthiest, strongest and most influential country in the world and its actions or inactions effect many nations. For good or for bad, the US are always there... I personally will think its a great benefit.. Their choice to eliminate Bin Laden was a sound one. Ask yourself? If America didnt, who would have? The thing here is that if we have a fair fight with unfair fighters were just going to loose more soldiers than is needed. (Its like playing Crysis or Cod) would you rather knife or punch an unarmed guy when he has allies with guns because its just him thats unarmed? If anything, his soldiers with guns were more innocent than him. He killed a lot of innocent people because of his beliefs. So what's worth it more? Sticking to a mental notation that our military should be "honorable" in the face of dishonorable opponents or loosing more physical humans? Matter is over mind. If Osama didnt lead the attack on the attack on 9/11 then yeah, why should we do anything to him? But you know what, his death is very little. Its not going to change anything. The thing here isnt if he was unarmed not. The thing is that who is justified in who's killings? is 9/11 justifiable? is what other countries have done to their country justifiable? A lot of americans will say that 9/11 was bad. But look around, do you see soldiers all around in america "keeping the peace" and military equipment and vehicles around? No. Thats all over there. And yes, Wikipedia can be very accurate. If anything it can be the most accurate because its not just from one person. Its a combination of many sources, like doing a project.
