If I understand correctly that the map image file is created when the level is compiled and the image is editable. if I'm wrong please correct me on this. If anyone is interested and has thier minimap image file I would add the grid. I think if we used such a system it would increase the response time and position relay of enemy locations while playing in game. Here is a sample grid size would be adjusted to each map. well anyway let me know what you guys think.

First the design method for a minimap the map is suppose to be square. This is because the image taken is an orthographic image. Most are not and this forces the mapper to fudge the minimap corners by bringing them to high or to low. By doing this he screws up the z axis throwing off miost chances of the minimap being accurate. (best example is all the targets are on the sides of the minimap) Also the minimap is one dimentional so you can't tell if he or she is above or below you. Now its not that bad but I can say you would be off by a grid or two. And last to alter an image in a map you would need the mapper permision to do so. Then I could teach you how to edit the minimap image. Seems like a lot of work for something that would not work so well. Good idea though way better then he's right in front of me in the green bush or he's in the building to my left LOL love that one. Best to learn or teach the compass points. Oh forgot he's hiding behind the tree
 Awards
