Hey not sure but if you think it is Java then it very well could be .....Java 7 is very unstable right now and even though they said they were no longer going to support Java 6 guess what they released a patch up to 45 now I believe for it....What I have been running into is removing the Java 7 update and rolling back to Java 6 with the latest patch...

Check here and give it a try .... http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html

I play cod 5 waw everyday and yeah there are a few probs but for the most part I think it is some of the new OS's and new hardware and things. Maybe I am all wet but after tweaking it about a thousand times I have it set up pretty well, including how to run you down even when you could run Viper! :)

This is not a game related error. By that I mean the game did not create this error. It is an outside program affecting your game . What ever program is doing it it's one that

1 affects your keyboard and mouse

2 suddenly draws a lot of cpu cycles

run event viewer  type event viewer in the search program and files window and look around see waht been givin you the headache.

Also depends if your system is 64bit or 32bit. I would get rid of java all together. Put it back in when there is a stable version available.

Or you could get a program called Teamviewer and have a trusted consultant take a look at your machine to see what is going on.
