I do see exactly what I showed you coming back in your own pictures - you hit the configure button in your 3rd picture.

Did you try swapping out the cable? Switching ISPs could be a solution, but I'd give a go to just ruling out your own cable (which is easy) PC (also not hard) and then calling them first to see what they say rather than going whole hog and switching ISPs over what may or may not be their network problem.

unless they've given you some horrid USB thing, your modem should be connected to your PC with a network cable. Since packets getting lost cross that cable, and having a bad one can cause these symptoms, it's worth taking that cable out of your pc and modem and plugging in another.

uncheck file and printer sharing...not needed s.o.b....i've had mine unchecked for three years,,,,maybe i will help...then you can do the command prompt...ipconfigflushdns,,,,hopefully that will help...but doing a tracert has showed the first hop was slow,,,,so that tells me something is going on outside,,,,keep hounding them S.O.B,,,,eventually they will get sick of you and send out a tech or change your isp....i wish i could help better my good man...but i myself have to sit there for hours figuring out what is going on...usually a call to the isp is useless as they won't tell you if there is packet loss on their end....pricks...i had the same prob about six months ago..since then i upgraded my speed and all is good...i think that they do that on purpose sometimes for people to upgrade,,,,big buisness rules the planet...we all know that...the pricks never care about individuals ,,just the masses for the money

Yes i agree with you m8, i think they do stuff like this to try and make us buy new gear, this always seems to happen when they bring new stuff out, my isp has just released a new more powerful superhub, costs £50, then this starts happening, but they are not the only ones, my TV satellite company Sky is the same, everytime the guarantee is close to running out on my Skybox etc they bombard me with e-mails etc asking me to take out cover which i refuse, then i suddenly start to develop problems with my box, fucking scheisters the lot of them m8.

If it doesn't, I really would consider making it Virgins problem and calling them a couple of times a day for a week or so till they get bored with you and send a tech out... or you could switch ISPs. I've been talking to two of my coworkers in the UK. My local IT manager I'd never heard swear until he extolled the virtues of having your home office connecting to the internet via Virgin.

Problem at this stage is you've got a pretty good piece of diagnostic info to show them pointing to it being their problem, but you now have to get them to swallow it.

Would switching IP's only stop packet loss from my end because most packet loss i see is from two Virgin IP's that follow mine, one in particular most of the time on whatever server i play on, but i still don't understand how i can play Cod4 or Cod5 and see packet loss occurring yet it does not affect my game at all, why is it only in BF4?

As a Storage Network Engineer, here are my two cents again.  You are spending way too much time troubleshooting something that is incomplete, broken and bugged.

I ran packet captures on the Performance Test and there are no missed ACKs even though the test tells me my packet loss is bad.  This is complete BS.  Something is wrong with their packet loss detection in the software.  I broke the UDP packets down to HEX and streamed them.  The Performance Test piggy backs its performance check to UDP packets that are already being used for the game.  Something tells me that there is a bad equation in the mix, or their server end isn't breaking down the UDP packets, that contain the test, efficiently.

Wouldn't worry about this Sonovabitch.  Not until BF4's issues that are plaguing everyone, are fixed.

Once we get there, it would be worth a second look.

Trying to troubleshoot something that is already broken is nearly impossible and usually ends up in making matters worse.

I hear you m8 but it only seems to be happening to me, i'm not hearing of other clan members having this problem, surely if it was just down to the game not running right this would be happening to lots of others too?....but yes when BF3 came out this sort of thing was happening, not packet loss but frikken lag all the time, sometimes it felt like i was bouncing off invisible rubber walls, it took months for BF3  to run ok for me, just pisses me off all the money i spent again on this, it's really putting me off buying anymore, been back playing BF3  this week and it runs fucking great wouldn't you know it. :(

Duckyofdeath and Oddjob seem to be the ones to go to if you read through this post, they both helped me in some way, but my problem is solved now, i bought a new Cat C Ethernet cable and things seemed to improve for me, dunno if it was the cable or it just put itself right, but i think everyone gets some sort of packet loss...is it affecting your game?
