Basically once you trade in your games you are giving gems like some sort of currency and with the gems you can bid for new games. I believe there yesterday steam had to shut down the whole operation for a few hours due to a few expolits but I am still not too sure how the thing works. The whole trade in thing is ending on the 18th of December. Has anyone tried it out yet? Heres the link for it : http://steamcommunity.com/auction Edit: Its not games you trade in, its just trading Cards, backgrounds, and emoticons you trade it.
