Lately my  ping has been running high while in game...Normally my ping is 50-55ms...Now while in game it is 90-110ms...in between maps my ping often drops to normal only to double as soon as I start playing the next map...I have run a ping check and tracert...They show my ping to be normal ...I'm at a loss  as to what is causing this...Anyone have any ideas...

Do you have any special setups on your NIC? Or perhaps depending on time of day, your ISP is routing you through a different trunk. Also the servers are now located in New Jersey. I don't know where you are located, but that may make a difference. If you need help with setting up your NIC settings let me know. I may be able to help you out. By the way, are you on cable, DSL, or FIOS?

You could consider running through a VPN, such as Tunnelbear, to confirm if erratic pings continue. If they do, it's likely an issue with your computer, or the game. If the issue stops, then it may be a case of your ISP sponsoring specific routes, or prioritizing other traffic over your game's.

It can sometimes be an issue with the game, as the ping is calculated by the time between data sent by the game, and the return of data acknowledged by the server. Your game could also be placing too much stress on your system, not allowing it to dedicate enough resources to running the networking optimally.

There's tons of factors that lead to erratic ping. Troubleshooting these factors is a huge pain in the ass. Good luck.
