Around here it is common to see someone stroll into the corner gas station open-carrying a sidearm & it doesn't raise an eyebrow, being an open-carry state. It's also a Stand Your Ground & Castle Doctrine state. Which means if someone's rolling up on you, you have no obligation to retreat.
