"swallowed the load meant for her" OMG to close!

When I tried going to college to upgrade my skills I met many special friends. There was this one special group of friends to where we met daily and helped each other with our homework and things like that! Even tho I no longer go to school my friendships with these special people still lingers on! There is this one special lil Japanese lady that her and I developed a special connection because we have so many things and events in our lives in common! We use to sit and talk for hours helping each other deal with our own issues! There were times it got very deep and it would hurt but we both knew the other person cared enough that they weren't meaning to hurt but to support in truth! I truly could fall deeply madly in love for her but even tho she loves me its not in the romantic way. This week was the end of here schooling for the quarter. Last week the group had a luncheon that I didn't go to because of my situation. I knew she would be there but I didn't want to be a burden on anybody else specifically her as she isn't working either, but on unemployment,so I stayed home! She asked my cousin who is also part of this group and he was the one who introduced me to her, why I wasn't there! He told her why and she was extremely upset with me cause she wanted to see me and also she was me going back into depression. I told you all this so you can understand what this story is really about. My cousin periodically comes and takes me to do errands or just to take me to breakfast so we can get caught up on each other. Well this week we had been trying to get together fore that but the schedule kept getting changed and because I don't have much of a schedule I didn't think much about it. Last night he sent me a message on f/b that he would be by at about 11: am to get me. So this morning I was in no hurry to rise so I snoozed and got up at 9:45 am. I heard someone hollering outside my window as I live in a secure condo and its not accessible from out side without a key! He was there an hour or so early and so I dressed and we went to the local pub where we go for breakfast and was sitting there when he excused himself and got up and left. In about 4 minutes the most beautiful Christmas gift I could ask fer was standing in front of me looking me in the eyes! I was so shocked that I was speechless. She laughed and sit down and had a wonderful breakfast. She told me when I didn't go to the luncheon she asked my cousin when he was going to see me next and asked him to bring her. She is so beautiful and I cried that she cared that much about me. She told me "Dean you are valuable". I cried some more. We can be very candid and straight cause we know we both care! I am still overwhelmed. People you never know who your real friends are until the chips are down, and you never know how deep you touch someone by a simple caring act! Since this is the season we call Christmas I thought this was appropriate to share!
