I have just completed an experiment to confirm that the Tank Server is the problem causing us difficulties. I created a new profile called TXTWORKS and visited the DM server. (See chat log) Text typed in from my keyboard displayed as expected. I then went to the Tank Server - text typed in did not display. I returned to the DM server and text typed in did not display. Some permanent change is being made to players' profiles when we play in the Tank Server. I have no idea what the mechanics of this could be. Should a MOD permanently alter a player's profile?

Do you have a manual for the TV? If you need a copy, look here: http://www.manualowl.com/m/Toshiba/40E220U/Manual/326015 There are various suggestions in it such as resetting the TV, checking signal input etc. Are you using the internal tuner or an external box for satellite/ cable TV?

Without a doubt, a good quality headset helps. One can zero in on other players by hearing the direction of both their movement and gunfire. As has been said by others, it doesn't work with Dean who just seems to appear behind his opponents with that knife! Depending on where you are in the world, latency also affects ones ability to score. Face-to-face with those who live near the server in the USA, you are not going to win so one can adapt to cater for that by more use of explosives like satchels, nades and betties to keep the name off the bottom. Finally, there are bad days that everyone gets when one cannot hit a fish in a barrel for some reason. Get to know the maps and adjust the custom classes accordingly.

Since playing the new tank server mod, no text typed into the game on DM either by me or others is visible to me though others can see what I type blind. I am not the only one experiencing this - ldoz for one is also doing so. Deletion of Acemod and re-download did not solve this so if anyone has any ideas, please post. Thanks.

weed has been around since biblical times....alcohol is made to get the desired effect....weed smokers don't go out and drive into oncoming traffic...yes of course the obvious is if a psycotic person smokes weed it makes them worse...but that is .999 percent of the population that don't have paranoid tendendcies...it is a known fact that paranoid schizophrenia is made worse by smoking weed and triggers psychotic thoughts...but that goes the same for if you gave that same person ten beers.....i just don't get the comparison with weed and booze,, not even in the same bracket....paranoid schizphrenics should not smoke weed period....but those that don't have the predisposed gene can smoke it with out any worries...picture this....smoke ten joints and do a couple of balance exercises then try the same after ten beers....two different entities that don't even deserve a comparison...too much of a joke to me.....booze kills weed pasifies.....period and there isn't any little snippets from the back of a good person magazine that will convince me other wise.....someone always finds a rogue statement found in the back of Funk and Wagnalls back porch books to find a severe situation in which weed is harmful...its a joke ....booze taken in excess can have real bad results....weed taken in excess [normal non paranoid schizophrenics] and the results are sitting in chair with a bowl of popcorn and pop...or a bowl of chips and a t.v chanel changer....peeps have always given weed a bad rap...damn refer madness movie from the fifties..made everyone turn into scaredy cats....use your own judgement people....booze will always be the worst of the two...and you all know it........remember you have to make booze to get the desired effect.....weed has it in there from the start.....lets see you beer drinkers and wine lovers drink your drinks without the alcohol....you would see alot more weed smokers if you took the drunk part out of the boozing,,,,because beer tastes like shit.....lol,,,and by the way have you ever picked up a gal with drunken wine breath?,,,,,instant turn off,,,,,,,,weed and booze in the same sentence....too funny....sounds like the brainwashers have struck again..... plagiarism is a crime I don't understand what "plagiarism" has got to do with it. Having undertaken university-level education, I am fully aware of academic requirements for citing sources, thank you, and, indeed, used those required by Harvard when writing my own essays. If one gets to know a lot of people - and many of us do, naturally - as we grow older, the chances of such bad news escalate. Yesterday was the third anniversary of the passing of a dear friend of mine. He was being treated for the BIg C and then got an infection that could not be quelled and took him. Again, not an old guy - early sixties.

Of course, there aren't that many Americans of Asian extraction in the SF area who would be offended... Poor taste to act like Bart Simpson after a tragedy. Did anyone at the TV station receive any form of higher education, I wonder? Low IQs abound??!

Condolences, SOB. It's not a good way to learn such news but I have found it increasingly the case here even with people I thought of as more than acquaintances and whose family knew my address and phone number. The latest friend I lost was just 66 and Alzheimer's took his life. The lesson to us all is to enjoy each day, love those around us and do good deeds whilst we are able.

The authors of these scam emails make life easy for us as none of them can write English properly. The latest one I have received suggests that, rather than being of exclusively English origins, I have Japanese ancestry!

Though I am sure the celebrations will be muted, this year, after the rail disaster in Paris the other day, I wish you all well on your national day.

I only really consult them when I want to check on the tally of Molotov and Satchel Charge kills. I played a couple of games only, last night, and that raised me 23 places... The good games aren't those I win necessarily but those that make me laugh.

As with similar posts by others in the past, this, by inference if not overtly, contains non sequiturs. It is more accurate to state that some drunk people commit domestic violence offences and cannabis use causes psychosis in some genetically predisposed people. Starting the day's play in 58th position, I won a few games of DM and was second in another. This success propelled me down the league table to 117th position. If any of you actually believe that game stats are worth anything, you can be assured they are not. Clearly their implementation here is meaningless and, dare I say, random. I don't know how ones "skill level" is calculated if points earned, kdr and matches won are irrelevant. Not a whine...just saying.

Speak to @@baldie as I believe he works for them and may be able to advise/ help out?
