American football is one type of "football" sports. It evolved from rugby football and association football, and kept the name. American football started out much like soccer, but the game was deemed to be so violent that rules brought about changes, such as allowing players to throw or carry the ball. People also saw ways to improve this new sport, and changes occurred. people can mock the name all they want, but it is pointless to do. the name is not changing. the sport evolved. get over it.

while soccer is fairly popular in the US, it will always have trouble becoming more popular, and it will never be the most popular here, mostly because of what others have said, we prefer action sports. It is tough for soccer to compete with Am. football (college and pro), basketball (college and pro), nascar, hockey, baseball (although that can be just as slow as soccer sometimes). And for those that didn't hear, MLS attendance was the 8th highest in the world among top soccer leagues last year. a lot of people are turned off by soccer because of the flopping and acting. whats good and what isn't is up for debate. its up to you to decide that. people can argue for days about what beers are good or not. like others said, its all about trying as many as you can. if you can narrow it down the style of beer that you like, finding a solid beer will be easier. it will also help you avoid beers you know you won't like. Personally, i hate IPAs and any beer with chocolate or coffee in it, so that lets me avoid those shitty beers. if you like budweiser, Brooklyn Lager and Lagunitas PILS would be good. they taste a lot like Bud. another thing to try is to find a local brewery, and talk to them about beer. they are always very knowledgeable about beers since it is their life. They can help point you in the right direction.

I have heard rumblings that there is a change in the works where there will be a 4-6 team playoff. If this had been the case this year I really doubt ND would have made it through. Oh well woulda shoulda coulda... i agree with u 100% but this is why i dont like the bcs system wish they would do playoffs or something ....so these bowl games can be more competitive...read an article by major sports analysis that this year bowl games were worse then ever this yr BCS will be no more for the 2014-15 season. Only one more year of this terrible system. Next is a 4 team playoff.
