Yep, we know the furnace is "borderline" for our house. As is common for lake home in the northwest area of Detroit, most lake homes are or were cottages since in the 30's and 40's this was "up-north" (now it's the upper peninsula of Michigan). I added to my home in 1992, from around 900 square feet to about 1600 (almost double). Because it was small, my furnace, hot water heater, washer & dryer and water softner are all in an 8' x 7' room (washer & dryer are stacking!). Not a lot of room to put a larger furnace in. Most years not a problem, but between the temps and winds (across the lake we're on), it struggles this year (can't wait for the twenties this weekend!). Don't want to see the gas bill! My oldest son with his truck on the lake - notice the drifts at the house!

The problem wasn't the tire....it was the driver!!

Now I know what's wrong with you Canadians.....Brain Freeze!! LOL! To move here from California, Lead?..............you must have been desperate for some strange reason!! Seriously though, I do like the change of seasons, but the winters are just TOOOO long! I do like to snowmobile and a little snow skiing (not near us in flat MIchigan - got to go north or west), but would rather be floating on a boat to fish, not cutting through ice!!

Is everyone having an issue with the XLR stats or just me? For weeks now I can get the various servers stats page, but previous I could click on the 'expert league' and the list expanded for the rest of the players, not just the top five. On all servers when I click on 'expert' to get the list like before, it says "processing" indefinately:

Well, in my 50 plus years of Michigan winters, I can't recall one this brutal! Many weeks now with days of below 0F and snowing regularly, including an 18" snowfall a couple weeks ago. Been working in a Chrysler plant 67 miles away, so of course a few 2 hours plus treks one way to or from work (or both)! That sucks - Calgon take me away!! And 5-6 weeks yet of who knows what's to come before spring like temps. Arghhh!! -10F tonight upwards of -30 with wind chill added (or actually subtracted)! Furnace acting up too, since it runs non-stop - please don't fail us now furnace! I know many of you have the same or worse temp, Minnesota, Wisconsin and much of northeast!! Wow:
