You are correct Ted. It is so easy, and means so much. Last month.. I was getting tires on my car. I was in the waiting room while they worked on my car. In pulls a van out front, and I watch a twenty-something year old kid work his way out of the drivers seat into a wheelchair. The van had been set up for handicap driving. Anyway, he was there to get tires too. He had a ARMY sweatshirt on, so I introduced myself and talked with him a bit. He lost a leg in Afganistan and was medically retired. He said what he wanted most, more than his leg back, was to be able to fight along side his brothers-in-arms. I thanked him for his service. He went outside to smoke, and I went to the counter and paid for his tires. I left when my car was done, and I made the guy at the counter promise not to give the vet my information. I just wanted to do something for someone who had done so much for me and my country. I've only told my wife about it, until now. I'm not telling you all for recognition..I want YOU to follow the example.
Find a vet and bless them this Christmas, if it's only a 'thank you for your service'.. it will mean a lot.
