could it be in your power settings...best to check there before you go and do uninstalling of updates..maybe it changed the power to your monitor settings...it might have set it to sleep or something simplistic like that...best to check all the simpe matters first...monitor settings could have changed too...shouldn't be too hard to rectify...you might have to plug in another t.v or whatever to find out since you can't see anything with your existing setup

put in a horizontal furnace under the floor....i have put three in this winter...they don't take up any space..and the efficiency of the new units is a hell of a difference...they've made incredible advances in efficiency in the last five years...you don't need a chimney for the high efficiency units they just vent out the wall...you wouldn't believe the difference in the monthly bills...i would imagine that the unit you have is gobbling up the money,,,get some spray foam and fill those drafts....if i lived there i would put one in for cost Lazlo...that just sucks blowing money out the window...take it from me you would save a bundle
