Well, you go east on 90 until you hit Syracuse, where most New Yorkers think the state stops. It doesn't. Drive another hour north on 81 and you come to Watertown, which is considered the boonies, populated by lost Canadians. But you don't stop either. Now, you go another hour north until you hit Ogdensburg, a bleak border town on the St. Lawrence across from Prescott. It snows in October and doesn't melt until May. That's why I don't live there anymore.

Interestingly, we have another Buffalo resident, Crossfire, also introducing himself this week. Now that's downright strange. I'm from Northern NY and I know that there are very few sane people still living in Buffalo. I mean why in hell would you put yourself through eight months of winter every year unless you were a freakin idiot? And so, you both have a good shot at joining we other idiots. PS: I'm not so much of an idiot that I stayed in that god-forsaken area - I'm from Ogdensburg. I got south more than 30 years ago.
