XI Fest 2016 will be at Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN with activities from Thursday evening through Saturday evening, Oct. 20-22. Since I live nearby, Rugger has asked me to coordinate. You will want to arrive Thursday daytime and depart Sunday. Or, spend the week - this area is family oriented and a great place for a vacation. We will be investigating room rates and will determine an official XI motel/hotel but you may wish to book a cabin for the week. The premier event will of course be Saturday evening's XI Bash And Crawl, where we'll have dinner, booze and chat, with no doubt various of you crawling back to your rooms at some point early Sunday. Several official XI events will be planned Friday and Saturday and if there are any among the hundreds that you'll find in a Google search, please recommend them on this thread. Rugger will be doing a separate thread on attendees. Don't miss this one. We plan to make it the best XI Fest yet!

As I believe I'm the closest Idiot to Pigeon Forge, and as I'm retiring the same month, I hereby proclaim myself honorary host of XI Fest 2016. This entitles me to receive free drinks - and other considerations we'll keep private for the time being. Welcome to my party! It's also my 70th birthday that month.

Moved into our retirement home last year. Lots to do before I could start renovations, including replacing the deck. But finally started on the kitchen last December and after a few months of weekends, got it done. Some before and after. Had to take the right wall 19 inches into the living room to recess the fridge.
