We had a bunch of us go in there recently to get the lay of the land. Don't have any recommendations; seemed to play well. Only thing I'd like to see isn't on this server but DM1 and that's to get our Bettys back to the way they were.

I greatly appreciate DJ's passion and support for those who have made this server their home for years. It's greatly appreciated and demonstrates what a game admin should be: someone who cares more about the players rather than himself; who puts them first. DJ you're a star!!

The wife had one of those thingies installed so I cleaned her phone of any viruses, hacks and trojans by boiling it for 15 minutes and then putting it into a bath of rubbing alcohol (didn't want to waste the Jack Daniels.) I'll dry it off tonight and get it back to her.

Sorry if I wasn't clear but that's exactly right Nitro. The Ace Mod DM server is very popular and the mainstay of our COD4 offerings. And it always should be. I'm just wondering if we can add a COD4 server that's stock in terms of speed but retains the weapons, etc. we find in Ace Mod (if they're different from stock, that is.) I'd bet a lot of folks would play it. If Ace Mod is not different from stock other than the speed, that I guess I'm simply suggesting a stock COD4 server. Sure, there are a lot of them out there but our members might like having one under XI's banner that they can find each other on.

Not sure what the difference between stock and Ace Mod is because I don't think I ever played a stock COD4 server. Would the weapons be different? Question is, can the speed of play be adjusted within the Ace Mod to slow it down and if so, I think such a server would be very popular. Bud, Larson, etc., I'm not suggesting for a minute that we shut down - or slow down - the current server. Just wondering if we can start a new COD4 DM server (in addition to Ace Mod) which runs at stock speed but perhaps with the same mod in terms of weapons and other enhancements of that mod.

I hear this a lot from members and non-members and wonder if it's been discussed by the admin team. I've always preferred COD4 over COD5 because of its more vibrant colors and graphics engine. It's not as washed out as COD5 and just seems more realistic. But I moved to COD5 because I just couldn't keep up with the speed of the game on the accelerated Ace Mod server. Are there others who would like to see an Ace Mod in COD4 running at regular speed? Have we tried this previously?

Thank you Loader for your guide to reinstalling COD2 on a Windows 8.1 machine. Worked perfectly (I did not install DirectX9; the game runs fine with DX11.) Only thing I'm missing is the key to run in the game; can't remember what that was. Otherwise, up and running on a new Alienware with COD2, 4 and 5 and all God's children are happy.
