  2. The last couple of Windows 10 updates messed with alot of stuff. I had to give COD4 permission just to use my damn Microphone. Windows defender locked down 1 of my HDDs and would not let me install on it. Some how Windows Defender Application Guard got installed and turned on without me telling it to do so. I hate OS Integrated Bull Shit like that.

    Hola

Hello @Evercy You won't find a better place to hang your hat that's for sure. I've been hangin around here for a decade. I have no regrets. XI has become more of a family than a gaming community over the years.
  4. Congrats @WldPenguin
  5. My Parents used to Jam this back when I was a little fella.
  6. Psssssst @Icequeen lol
  7. Nice rig @VHS2
  8. Oh BTW Don't even bother with the brand new $750+ 16-core and 32-thread Ryzen 3950X that will be available some time this month. The $350 i7 9700K and $470 i9 9900K still smokes it like a blunt in gaming performance.
  9. Apple earpods work awesome for gaming headphones. They are so crisp and clear that you can clearly hear footsteps and someone reloading or spawning close to you in cod4.

    Win10 Ver1090

LOL I just got 1903 last evening because it just got cleared for Mass-Corporate Deployment. They ended support for Win 10 version 1803 on Tuesday. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-1803-users-warned-to-update-before-end-of-support/ I heard some good things about Version 1909 already. Most notably is the slight increase in gaming performance. Not going to go into details because it hasn't been officially confirmed yet VIA benchmarks.
  11. Happy Birthday buddy
  12. Is that Mud and rust inside the bellhousing? Was you Mud bogging with it? Or diving down the middle of a river? Ya no wonder the bearing seized lol. I hate changing clutches but it's pretty satisfying when ya get it down. Changed the clutch in my brothers Nissan Xterra. That wasn't fun. Helped my neighbor put the clutch in his Ford F350 7.3l 4x4 dually. That actually wasn't quite as bad as the Xterra.
  13. Pssst !fu BabySack! lol

  14. Thanks for the info @Oster 1 can only hope for free shit eh? lol With $500-600 I can buy really good CPU and a decent mobo and some DDR4 memory. I filed 1 with purchase receipts for my 8350 and 8320. Didn't have to send them but I still had them in my desk. Got my confirmation back already. Digital forum. No need to mail anything. Click the box that says "Click Here" on the rite side. https://www.amdcpusettlement.com/submit-claim.php
  15. You are included if you purchased one or more of the following AMD CPUs either (1) while residing in California or (2) after visiting the AMD.com website (or both): FX-8120, FX-8150, FX-8320, FX-8350, FX-8370, FX-9370, or FX-9590. Only for Residents of California? What is this crap? I Guess I visited AMD.com before I bought my 2 like every one else did? Is that how this is supposed to work? They did blatantly lie though. I "upgraded" from a beastly Phenom 2 X4 980 BE Quad Core to the FX 8350 "8 core". After playing around with it a while and figuring out that I could only get it to OC up to 4.4ghz without the memory controller flipping out (works fine but doesn't OC very well) I then bought a FX 8320 and I've had it OCed up to 5.2ghz. It ran hot but it was stable. Currently running it at 4.8ghz and it runs cool. Truthfully the 980 Deneb Core was a better "gaming" cpu but it ran pretty darn hot once you started to OC it a bit.
  16. AMD FX 8320 OCed to 4.8ghz. 16gb ddr3 AMD/ATI RX 580 Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2 motherboard. Water cooled with a Corsair H115i AIO. And I still lag like fuck hell on Guild Wars 2. Guild Wars 2 is intel optimized but WTF. I should be able to play it on Max settings without dropping below 60fps. I play on medium low with all of the fancy crap turned off and some times my fps drops as far down as 8-12fps. Most of the time it hangs around 30-40fps. Crazy shit is my GPU usage stays around 20% and CPU usage of 15-18% across all cores. A much much more demanding game such as DayZ Standalone or Arma 3 will run 120fps+ all day long with the graphics cranked. The Amd FX chips (Vishera core) integrated memory controller is absolutely horrible. It's the sole cause of dropped frames, significant FPS drops and horrible overall gaming performance on a non AMD optimized game. And AMD blatantly lied to us when they called it an 8 core CPU. It's a 4 core CPU with 4 threads. Same concept as an intel CPU with Hyper Threading. The i9 9900K is currently the best CPU out there for gaming. Currently priced at $470. AMD for computing/rendering or those few games out there that are optimized to run an AMD cpu. The best that AMD has to offer At the moment is the Ryzen 9 3900x which started with a price of $499. Currently priced at $530. Intel is still King of the gaming CPU period. This has been proven many times by real world benchmarks. Check youtube there are a couple completely unbiased benchmarks on there. Real world synthetic VS gaming benchmarks. Synthetic benchmarks are fine for testing but real world Gaming benchmarks paint a completely different picture between the brands. Ignore the Cinebench Rendering benchmarks. We know AMD chips are better rendering cpus. The best Intel based Motherboards are still Way over priced. They have always been that way for some reason. My motherboard was the 2nd best AMD motherboard and it was $160. The Best AMD motherboard at the time was priced at $189. The best Intel motherboard at the time was almost $400. That is why I keep going back to AMD. Price VS Performance. If I had no budget I would definitely go with an Intel chip and Nvidia graphics.
  17. Awe poor fella.
  18. OK this little collection is pretty darn good. It's 3 hours long.
