I've used CCCP for years. (Combined Community Codec Pack) CCCP Project web site recently went down but you can still get it. It's has every codec that you will ever need and it's free. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/cccp_(combined_community_codec_pack).html No need to download any other media player. Windows media player will be able play everything with this codec pack.
