I have always used intel + Nvidia and I cant say they ever let me down in windows or a linux environment

although opinions are great i always compare the cpu's and gpu's as there are many benchmark sites out there to prove the point...

then i decide for myself what specs are worth the cost of the hardware. you will be surprised how little the gain in perf is from an I7 to an I9 but the price differences are crazy

That smoke is pretty bad. We have the same situation / conditions here in the Pocono Mountains,  PA....and yes it is the smoke from those fires in Canada not any local fires. Those fires must be huge

IDK I am an Intel and Nvidia guy..amd just never cut it for me

the 5900X (387.00)is not much faster and cost 100.00 more than the Intel i7-11700K (267.00)

Xray is right i have not tested the 12th gen new intel processors. they changed alot on the core layout...kind of what amd does....i would steer clear or them

you can get a 3080TI evga 12GB g card around 1k (919.00)

that leaves about 600 for mobo, ram, ssd drive and a decent 750W power supply...you could get away with a 600 but WHY  LOL

assuming you can reuse the case that's tight but doable

all the prices I found are from amazon and I currently run the above setup for over a year now on an asus rog strix mobo and have no complaints the I7 keeps on chuggin even after hours of gaming. I run my rig on Air cooling anymore

the power control on todays pc's you don't need overclocking, fancy water coolers and hi heat to get an edge

That site looks like it has a different version than we run. It looks to be MC 1.19 which just released yesterday and has no mods available yet. That brand new version is considered VANILLA mnecraft.

 

The links in the servers post will get you one of the launchers for modded Minecraft. most of the launchers have the ability to add the pack versions we use. We try and stay on the latest version

1.7.10 is an old pack that has a lot of mods for tech and magic....also called a kitchen sink pack...the game being older doesnt have the best graphics but it runs on less ram

 

ATM7 MC 1.18 is the latest and greatest modded version out there also a kitchen sink pack but has lots of updates as new stuff becomes available

 

ftb ocean block MC version 1.12 is a few versions behind but it places you on an island and you have to create all resources including dirt. this pack has quests that guide you through the pack

 

we brought the 1.7.10 server back by player demand. It is a new world and is whitelisted as the old MC versions did not have good encryption.

if your motherboard website doesn't offer temp monitoring software you could use something like hwmonitor or maybe cpuz to monitor the comp temps. Also try and watch your resource usage...if your cpu hits 100% things will come to a halt. Built in windows resource manager is good for monitoring ram, cpu and hard drive usage while in game

Your best best would be make a new appeal and answer the following questions below

 

discord bans are done by staff not bots. I believe the  bot just tells you that you are banned

 

so one question is what did you do to get banned ?

 

another question is what is your discord name ?

 

third question is when did the ban happen ?

 

forth question is was it the minecraft only discord or were other games listed ?  the reason i ask there is an old and new discord version
