You can preorder for delivery on March 2nd/3rd. Only the 8 core models though. I saw some articles last night that some retailers had started slashing prices on intel chips yesteday...although none of the UK vendors had yet...I will check again tonight.

I've been waiting for months and had decided to get one of the six cores, only for them to turn around and say they are only releasing the 8 cores at first!!! Wonder how many people are in a similar position? Might have to go with intel now, as I can't wait any longer.

I hope this means gun game is staying put? It may not be getting a lot of traffic but some of us are playing it a few times a week and having a blast, we have had 10-15 players a number of times now. I'd play it more if people would join more frequently. Realistically, with the game being as old as it is is it will be extremely challenging to get a new server well populated regularly.

Mine is nearly 9 years old, hoping it lasts another two weeks as that is when I'm planning on getting my new one! Not sure if you know but AMD are releasing completely new cpus in just under two weeks (this is what I've been holding out for). All signs are pointing to them finally getting on par with intel, and the prices are going to be quite a bit cheaper for similar performance. More should be known in a week or two, but so far its looking good. At the very least it might make intel drop their prices.

I don't mind the speed either way. I probably preferred the non random rotation but its still fun. Wouldn't mind seeing C4 added. Thanks! Edit - We had 16 or so in the other night, it was good fun!

Yeh putting it near the end makes more sense I think, given the difficulty. Although I think I would prefer if it was subbed for a sniper.

This must be a different thread, can't find mention of it in here. Was just worried gun game was going to be radically changed just as it got started. I most certainly won't insist that something is not allowed out the blue. I concur with what Alpha (Uranium) said.

What is this mayhem rotation, first I'm reading about it? Everyone seems mostly happy with it the way it is, the consensus was that the respawn should be shortened which seems to have happened (thanks), apart from that...don't see any calls for major changes. Maybe I have missed something

Ok finally got to play it for the first time tonight, we had 13 in at one point and we were having a blast!!! As has been said previously, the respawn is currently 10s, the general consensus seemed to be that shortening it to 5s would be good. The spawn protection also seemed to be a little long, which allowed you to sneak up on people to easily. Shortening that by 2-3s could be a good idea. Other than that it is set up nicely, everyone seemed to enjoy it. It is currently set to 21 levels which is decent, and the two kills to move up and five to move down is set just about right I think. I wouldn't mind seeing maybe a sniper rifle/c4/smaw added, maybe other people can voice their opinions and we can see what is popular. Other than that, thanks for setting it up!

I know Penguin made a thread a while back requesting a gun game server when a few of us were playing it elsewhere for a bit. Would definitely love to see it, its fairly fast paced, so I don't see why it wouldn't be popular. Add some of the other game types in and a map vote function and we're set
