Looking at the specs in the Amazon link, it is an old style hard drive. Upgrading to an ssd/nvme should provide a large performance/productivity boost for programs like photoshop and lightroom. Not to mention just for general day to day performance.

If budget isn't too much of a concern, you could look at a 144hz monitor for gaming, if you don't already have one : )

@Sharpe im with you on this one 144hz or 240hz is the way to cool to be honest! i wont go back to anything else!!! 

While a huge favorite of mine, unfortunately, mp_rescue in any version does not work on the current mod.  The other map, mp_citi_hotel, will need to be tested.

Been tied to the world now with fiber optic to the modem, with speed 120m byte per sec up and down.
get ready to get killed abit more often by me cod5 and cod4.

One thing to bear in mind if you upgraded the current system with a new graphics card is making sure it would fit the case, as the case looks quite small. Also that the psu would be able to handle it. Assuming I've found the right system on the hp website, the power supply is 310w which is low. Something like a 1050 is on the smaller side, so that might work, and only seems to need a 250w psu, although that might be pushing it. Some sites suggest 300-350w. Maybe a 1030 🤷‍♂️ These cards are an upgrade on the onboard graphics, but still on the lower side as far as playing modern games with decent fps. Might be better just to wait until you were upgrading everything, if you decide to wait. 

Could always try an ssd/nvme first and see how much of a difference it makes. Decisions, decisions, haha.

I thought it'd be nice to start a thread where we could all reintroduce ourselves to each other. 
As many of you know, I've played on these servers for over 12 yeers now. Over those years have been periods of absence when many new idiots have appeared. Now that I've started playing more, I'd like to know more about everyone! 
I'll start. 
I'm 25 years old, representing the West Coast from Oregon. I started playing on XI's servers when I was about 12. It was mainly on the old 'freezetag server 2 stock map' server. I grew up here. Eventually with the help Wildthing, Caper & BudSr, I joined the clan as the first junior member. 
Eventually I finished high shool, went to college. I ended with an associates degree in Hospitality & Tourism Management. Moved my way up through retail positions and currently work as the store auditor at a local retailer. I currently live with my boyfriend of over 5 and a half years.

Play the original Cod4 and come to freezetag, problem solved : )

Today was one for the books.
Son stayed with the wife and I overnight for a visit.  He is a mechanic.  Asked him to take my wife's car for a drive with me to check out a noise.
We get in the car and drive about 1/2 mile.  We stop short of a 4-way stop as there is a black rat snake in the street.  I like snakes and didn't want to kill the stupid thing.
Fucker crawls up underneath the car.  We can't see it.  We both jump out to see where the hell it is.  We look under the damn truck just to see it crawl up inside the engine / transmission compartment.
FUCK....what do we do now.  I know, my son says....lets find some speed bumps.  Good idea I said.  None to be found.  Popped the truck up on the curb...crawl under the truck.  Can't find that damn snake anywhere.
We said fuck it...let's ride.  Drive the mile back to the house and that bastard comes out from under the hood onto the windshield right in front of me.  Funny as hell.
Long story short I ended up getting ahold of it's tail and had a tug-o-war to get that thing out of the truck.  That thing pissed and pooped all over my arm trying not to lose the battle.
I threw it across the driveway and it's PISSED!  It strikes at me and my son repeatedly until we get a coat hanger and get it into the flowerbed.
My wife can now sleep easy tonight knowing she will not get eaten by a harmless black rat snake...LOL

Still enjoy the games for what they are -  VR would be great

I looked through it a little bit. I've heard people complaining about the new Cods for years and say they aren't as good as Cod4 and Mw2 (never played mw2 personally, but have heard others say it was their favourite). If it ain't broke don't fix it 😀

Just need to upgrade it so we can play it with our VR headsets in a few years lol. 

I stopped buying COD with WW2, I enjoyed that one but wasn't impressed with the newer ones..
I'm now back to COD4 (ftag) and loving it
