Microsoft to allow cross-network play; http://www.theverge.com/2016/3/14/11222370/microsoft-xbox-cross-network-play-pc-ps4-gaming

Gtx970 and if your budget is lower gtx 960. 9xx series cards have pretty low power requirements compared older generation cards. For the gtx 950, 960, 970 - minimum PSU would be 350, 450, and 550 watt.

You can try reinstalling punkbuster with pbsvc ; evenbalance.com in downloads section. Also make sure your not using any kind of overlay, like fraps or evga precision on screen display etc. If you use on screen display make sure stealth mode is on.

Only issue for me was my Creative sound card, nothing but problems with Windows 10. Switched to onboard Realtek and no problems.

Looking at your picture, not sure but something does not look right with your CPU 8 pin power connection. Seems like too many wires, almost looks like connection for a video card. Just to make sure are you using the 4+4 connector for the CPU? For your power supply it should say CPU 1 and cpu 2 on the connectors. Also it should be coming from the hard wired cable cluster and not the modular ones.

Sounds like one of your ram sticks wasn't, seated all the way.

Make sure your config file is not just read only, you want full control.

Download pb services, 1st link. Download Call of Duty 4-Windows. Run pb service .exe and let it finish. Copy the files you downloaded(CoD 4-Windows) and paste them in your CoD4 pb folder and let it overwrite everything- Done. If your playing on the Ace Mod server, pb isn't running.

Shouldn't stereo mix be enabled?
-
Just join another server or start your own and join then quit and rejoin the XI server
-
You need to plug in the other 6 pin power connector to your video card
-
If your planning on overclocking the cpu, you'll need a "Z" 170 board instead of the h170.
-
On Windows 10 with UAC off I had to change the download directory for CoDWaW
-
Just use the XI downloaded instead, it will download all the maps that are currently on the server for you. No more disconnects or kicks

I would go for a 9xx series card,gtx950 or greater, they use a lot less power and run very cool . They are pci-e 3.0 and they WILL run in a pci-e 2.0 slot -
Microsoft Forces Windows 10 yet Again

If your using a creative sound card or headsets with surround software, it's hit or miss if it will work with Windows 10. Realtek audio works fine. -
I'm running CoD2 on Windows 10 x64 with no problems. Installed direct x 9.0c, changed to xp sp3 compatibility and it runs fine. This is for the disc version not steam.

It would seem that Windows 10 will be required for the latest hardware now; http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/microsoft-will-not-support-older-windows-versions-on-upcoming-pc-hardware.html

Creatives newer sound cards have something like this too, it's called "scout mode".
