  1. You can try reinstalling punkbuster with pbsvc ; evenbalance.com in downloads section. Also make sure your not using any kind of overlay, like fraps or evga precision on screen display etc. If you use on screen display make sure stealth mode is on.

  3. Only issue for me was my Creative sound card, nothing but problems with Windows 10. Switched to onboard Realtek and no problems.
  4. Looking at your picture, not sure but something does not look right with your CPU 8 pin power connection. Seems like too many wires, almost looks like connection for a video card. Just to make sure are you using the 4+4 connector for the CPU? For your power supply it should say CPU 1 and cpu 2 on the connectors. Also it should be coming from the hard wired cable cluster and not the modular ones.
  5. Sounds like one of your ram sticks wasn't, seated all the way.
  6. Make sure your config file is not just read only, you want full control.
  7. Be careful what types of coolers you use on the Intel Sylake processors ; http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2015/12/intel-skylake-cpus-bent-and-broken-by-some-third-party-coolers/
  8. http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/nvidia-to-bundle-tom-clancys-the-division-with-geforce-graphics-cards.html Might be time for a new video card
  9. Download pb services, 1st link. Download Call of Duty 4-Windows. Run pb service .exe and let it finish. Copy the files you downloaded(CoD 4-Windows) and paste them in your CoD4 pb folder and let it overwrite everything- Done. If your playing on the Ace Mod server, pb isn't running.

  11. Just join another server or start your own and join then quit and rejoin the XI server
  12. You need to plug in the other 6 pin power connector to your video card
  13. If your planning on overclocking the cpu, you'll need a "Z" 170 board instead of the h170.
  14. On Windows 10 with UAC off I had to change the download directory for CoDWaW
  15. Just use the XI downloaded instead, it will download all the maps that are currently on the server for you. No more disconnects or kicks
  16. "yes but not @ pcie3 speed just 2" My gtx960 is not held back at all in a pci-e 2.0 slot
  17. I would go for a 9xx series card,gtx950 or greater, they use a lot less power and run very cool . They are pci-e 3.0 and they WILL run in a pci-e 2.0 slot
  18. If your using a creative sound card or headsets with surround software, it's hit or miss if it will work with Windows 10. Realtek audio works fine.
  19. I'm running CoD2 on Windows 10 x64 with no problems. Installed direct x 9.0c, changed to xp sp3 compatibility and it runs fine. This is for the disc version not steam.
  20. It would seem that Windows 10 will be required for the latest hardware now; http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/microsoft-will-not-support-older-windows-versions-on-upcoming-pc-hardware.html
  21. Creatives newer sound cards have something like this too, it's called "scout mode".
  22. Go to your CoD2 Main folder and look for the problem map. If it is a TMP file, delete it and redownload the map.
  23. The gtx 960 is a good 1080p, 60hz card. On older games like CoD4 you might be able to run 144hz with v-sync on but on newer titles I doubt it. "Unlike V-SYNC, G-SYNC has no impact on input latency, which makes it perfect for first-person shooter games." Any card above a gtx 650ti will support G-sync but only when using the display port.
