There is actually a feature in Creatives new sound card called "scout radar" which allows you to see your enemies location on a radar on your smart phone. When they make a sound it shows their location on the radar on your phone; https://us.creative.com/p/sound-cards/sound-blasterx-ae-5

Who has the cutest Puppy!!!! and GO!!!
Tw33tle_Dee replied to JohnnyNashville's topic in General Discussion
7 1/2 year old full blooded German Shephard. Unfortunately have no pictures as a puppy because she was rescued at 2 years of age. Breeder who originally sold her found out she was being mistreated and bought her back. He posted her on his website, listed as "needs special care" Traveled to Ohio from Pa. to see her and bought her on the spot. He said she was being abused because she would not bark at anyone and they wanted a guard dog. Took about 6 months before she started to get comfortable around people and not being afraid of being hit all the time. This is my 9th one and one of the best behaved so far. -

Don't see why not.

They claim that this card is 30 percent better than the onboard solutions offered now. I can't imagine onboard even coming close considering this card has a 32bit DAC, we shall see.

Another COD2 problem
Tw33tle_Dee replied to LtLaszlo's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
Increase the "seta com_hunkMegs" setting from 160 to 512 in your mpconfig file. Should be located in Activision/Call of Duty 2/main/players/your name -

Make sure when you enter your key code that you press ENTER and then VERIFY. Have a look at this post to fix a corrupt "mpdata" file; https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/939217-call-of-duty-4-modern-warfare/45943761 -

COD2 no connect
Tw33tle_Dee replied to Painsponge's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
I've been having problems getting in the CoD 2 server lately also. Some times takes up to a 40-50 count to get in. I heard Sinbad talking about a Hunkmegs setting in game and then I remembered doing this before. I changed my "seta com -hunkMegs" setting from default of 160 to 512 in my MP config file and now I get in within a count of 5. This setting allows the game to use more memory for game loading, worked for me so far. -
New processors will only be supported by Windows 10 now. Windows update will throw an error when searching for Windows updates, although you could use WSUS offline update on Windows 7 and 8.1 http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/new-processors-will-only-work-with-windows-10.html

Is this on the stock Windows driver?
-
Keep in mind that most munufacturers ssd's will not update the firmware unless it's in AHCI mode.
-
My 950 pro was running slow also. Looked in device manager and for my AHCI driver the standard Microsoft driver was listed,( my ssd was listed as a removable device in "safely remove hardware"). I found an Intel driver that was modded for W10 and also digitally signed. Upon installation ssd was removed from "safely remove hardware" and my read write scores increased greatly. Nvidia Driver Forced Through Windows Update
Tw33tle_Dee replied to Tw33tle_Dee's topic in Computer Help
I used Display Driver Uninstaller, (DDU), when I installed the latest driver and one of the steps performed is to create 2 registry keys that disable driver updates through Windows update. It does this so that a clean installation can be performed. Seems to be working so far, no more Nvidia drivers pushed through Windows update.
