    The Mod folder that is separate from your profile contains the Mod itself. The Mod folder that's in your profile folder contains your Rank, weapons, inventory and settings for the Mod. If you want to delete the Mod and redownload, do not delete the one in your profile and you won't lose the settings for that Mod.

    If your games are crashing after a Windows update, try disabling "Full screen optimizations". They are slowly updating this in stages so as not to cause problems but we are talking about Microsoft here and as usual they are screwing it up. Make sure your drivers are up to date, then right click on game .exe/properties/compatibility and check "disable full screen optimizations"

    Mod folder might not be under "virtual store" depending on what your user account control settings are set at. With my user account control settings, my folder is at " user name/AppData/Local/Activision/CoDWaW/mods"

    Microsoft has been slowly rolling out updates to the Windows Desktop Manager for full screen optimizations. Thy wanted to do it gradually to avoid any performance issues. More than likely a recent Windows update probably made a change to the WDM that did not work well with your driver. Because of these gradual updates it is important to keep your graphics drivers updated. Glad you got it fixed.

    I do not run WaW with any compatability settings just run as admin, that's on W10 may 2020 update. No problems. Try doing as Labob said.

    How old is your power supply? Did you reinstall the game because of this problem? Did the game work ok on your previous driver?

    If you have another pc or a friend with a CD ROM, you can copy to a USB hard drive or usb stick and install from there.

    Maybe check disk for errors and run memtest before you do a reinstall.

    Was the Windows update the new May 2020 update by any chance? If you have Intel Optane Memory, the new update breaks this which requires a reinstall of the driver.

    Also if you have another pc with a cd drive, you can copy the disc to a usb drive and use that for the install

    It's still free as an upgrade from W7 or W8 using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. For whatever reason the free upgrade tool is still functional; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 Upgraded one about a month ago and it was activated with a digital license (tied to motherboard).

    Windows 10 32bit will still get updates. In the future it will be discontinued, currently it is still around for legacy support although allot of 32bit programs will run on 64bit windows.

    This happened to me a while back after a crash only it was on CoD5. I replaced the file from the install cd and luckily it worked. The file is in the zone folder in the Games main folder. If its steam you can repair the installation.
