  1. The Laker Drive-in. Old joint in Stephensburg. Right next to it is an impressive Black Walnut. From the girth of the trunk, it's at least 150 years old:
  2. Amusing signage @ a local Arby's:
  3. The State Theater in downtown Elizabethtown ~11:30 tonight:
  4. Grubhub, D00rdash, Postmates. A lot of country roads out here, with an attendant amount of people who are willing to pay ~$20-$25 for somebody to drive their meal to them. Sweet gig to me, getting paid to drive these beautiful country roads on a sunny Kentucky summer day.
  5. Was a quiet ending to a day. The town- Vine Grove- is well-familiar to me as it's where friends live(d), one of the places I went & go fishing, hiked, camped, carnally recreated, worked tobacco, baled hay, hunted & many other things. It, & the surrounding countryside with manifold more small towns very much like it in demeanor & vibe are a part of me & I hold dear. Since I drive these streets 12 hours a day 5-7 days a week, it occurred to me make a post chronicling the area I've grown up along with other thing of interest I happen upon; for my benefit &, perhaps, the mild amusement of others. I traveled through no less than ~15 different towns today alone; took some pictures & video of things that gained my attention for whatever reason & this is one of the places where they'll reside. They turned out nicely for a camera phone & caught the mood I feel there on a sleepy summer night. The echoes of times past resonate with me in the area & prompted me to stop & take those pictures.
  6. A thread where I can memorialize random stuff seems great: Small-town Americana @ 12:25 in the a.m.:
  7. Here's some pics with better focus: One is of a flower that's been broken open for edification.
  8. Yes, fu for not even posting in your own gottdamn cooking thread.
  9. Welcome, buddy!
  10. ... ok; who apologized 1st?
  11. I'ma go out on a limb & say you weren't in contention for 1st place in any local spelling bees, back in the day. Welcome Kenmen!
  12. The glands which contain the resin are called trichomes; a properly-focused macro would reveal little mushroom-shaped glands called capitate stalked trichomes. These would range from clear to amber colored. A 50/50 mix of clear & amber is a good rule of thumb for most any harvest.
  13. Don't know. It's a mostly-Sativa hybrid. It's really clean, with a little body settling in after about an hour. Wonderful rich, sweet flavor, with mild end notes of what I call cologne.
  14. Awesome; congrats!..... Jerry! Jerry!... Jerry!
  15. I don't know about you, but this life is a limited-time offer, & I'm not wasting one minute of it concerned in any way about what someone said to me the other day... or the other year.
  16. This means: You will have time to perfect your moniker's technique. Do share with us what retirement's like & any reasonably cool stuff you now have time to do.
  17. be well, man
  18. Saying 'Computer' when switching from cable tv to the computer is giving me Star Trek: TNG moments. Also: The cat's trippin' watching me play games on this screen.
  19. It's a matter of patience; you lose it, you lose your $ real-quick, too.
  20. I've played hundreds of hours blackjack online; This strategy becomes second nature if you keep it by your side as you play: https://wizardofodds.com/games/blackjack/strategy/4-decks/
  21. House only supposed to have ~0.5% edge, 2% if one's stoopid.
  22. Perhaps an aperitif, of sorts?
  23. Where's my rib pics, fucker!
