Mid term Admin elections
Timmah! replied to Unchileno's topic in Call of Duty 4's Call Of Duty 4 Discussion
Just being silly. ? I'm around, there's been several times I could have pushed a map or kicked someone afk for an extended period. Thanks for the vote of confidence. Whoever they find, I'm sure the admins will get someone to holler at when we need some help. -

I would have to agree; when I'm playing in the mornings, I rarely see an admin; the other day there were 5 people afk for multiple rounds and nobody to take care of business. Many times the same map pops up within an hour, & unless you get everyone to go spec., a few people can fuck up the program and force 12 people to sit in spec & watch or say fuck it and leave... If the current admins aren't there in the morning because of other obligations, or whatever the reason(s) may be; get a consensus & make 2 or 3 people capable of kicking afks & pushing maps. -

I went a little heavy on the toppings per request, but it still rose reasonable nicely. Thanks for the compliment, means a lot coming from a knowledgeable source. ?

Argh!!!! CoD4 STRIKES AGAIN
Timmah! replied to Bazza's topic in Call of Duty 4's Call Of Duty 4 Discussion
this is a "fix" for cod4 steam version on Windows OS. https://www.dropbox.com/s/pnmo82n9x5bp5s3/iw3mp.exe?dl=0 or http://d833c39a4a8b920f7d2a-df6872f9497a6cd74503ad01be51357f.r35.cf1.rackcdn.com/File_6412_-_fkliw3mp.rar "Download that exe and put in c:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty 4 or where steam is located. Then it will work!!!" I scanned both using Virus Totals online file scanner which uses around 80 scan engines and both are 100% clean. Copied from one of the hundreds of posts people made on the steam forums over the past month and a half. Seems to be the only "fix" until Steam gets there heads out of there ass. Just replace the main exe file with a working v1.7 Steam exe and it will work again. -
Yes, I agree. There should be a mandatory safety course requiring people to pass a written & practical exam to demonstrate reasonable proficiency, criminal background check & psychological well being exam. that being said, 300 people die every day in the U.S. because doctors and nurses don't wash their hands between patients & don't maintain proper i.v. cleanliness; 300 a day....90,000 a year. It baffles me that nobody is concerned about that statistic.

That's why we have the 10th Amendment in the Bill of Rights to our Constitution. ? Federal Government has no jurisdiction in the matter. Unless they want to try and change the Constitution, which won't be happening. Each State is it's own sovereign jurisdictional entity & can create any laws it so chooses to be applicable within it's boundaries, as long as they don't contravene the Constitution. The only powers the federal government has are those explicitly laid forth in the Constitution, everything else is each state's business.

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. The waitress asks them for their orders. The man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?" "I'll have the same," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress returns with the order.. "That will be $9.40 please." The man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment. The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke." The ostrich says, "I'll have the same." Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change. This becomes routine until the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the waitress. "No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad," says the man. "Same," says the ostrich. Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.62." Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table. The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?" "Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there." "That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!" "That's right..Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man. The waitress asks, "What's with the ostrich?" The man sighs, pauses and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick with a big ass and long legs who agrees with everything I say.."

I live in the 'country'. I regularly step into the adjacent field and enjoy target practice. In 30+ years of living here, I've never had a problem with tresspassers. One new neighbor felt it necessary to call the state police to report sounds of gunfire. Lol.

That's what I like about the castle doctrine in my state; if someone breaks into your house, you can legally assume that they have bad intentions & proceed sending lead downrange. (1) A person is presumed to have held a reasonable fear of imminent peril of death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another when using defensive force that is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm to another if: (a) The person against whom the defensive force was used was in the process of unlawfully and forcibly entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered a dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle, or if that person had removed or was attempting to remove another against that person's will from the dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle; and (b) The person who uses defensive force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry or unlawful and forcible act was occurring or had occurred. https://codes.findlaw.com/ky/title-l-kentucky-penal-code/ky-rev-st-sect-503-055.html
