One of my favorites is in season. They taste soon good with their earthy, nutty delicate taste. What's also great is they're easy to identify, so even an Idiot can safely forage them. The scent is fairly of Apricots. They last a good week in the fridge. There's so many, I preserve them for later by slicing, briefly sautéing for a couple minutes then freezing. They last a good 6 months, which means you can enjoy them with steaks, omelets, make the best cream of mushroom soup, all the way through winter. Just verify the flesh is white & pulls apart like string cheese, to differentiate from the poisonous Jack-o-Lantern mushroom whose flesh is orange.

Encountered these on my hike today; graciously collected these & fried them up. Very tasty & a harbinger of several others-like Chanterelles- coming into season.
-
There's no definitive studies to make a solid consensus, but some of my friends say it helps them, so when the opportunity presented itself, I collected it for them.

I have some friends who've been wanting some, so I got it for them.

I see all too often posts in various computer forums where people complain of their computer randomly crashing, getting a BSOD, their gpu artifacting, their memory fucking up...all because they went cheap on their psu.

Get a larger capacity psu...if you spend good $$ on computer components, give 'em all the juice they need & then some. Also covers you if you wanna upgrade components or add shit later...

For many of us, eating wild plants comes naturally, taking its nascent form in our childhoods as we play and explore the outdoors: Wild Blackberries, Strawberries, Raspberries; picking a honeysuckle, pinching-off the bottom & drawing that sweet nectar from the flower, wild onion, Red Clover and many others. As we grow older, modern society and the responsibilities of adulthood draw us away from this happy, healthy endeavor. Being in the Boyscouts, identifying plants, their likely habitats & companion plants, their practical uses as components for tools, medicine, food, shelter was really gratifying. The increased competence enhanced my enjoyment of the wilderness, made me feel even more comfortable and confident in my surroundings. Anyways, there's lots of good food out there for free & it's a pursuit and activity to which I've returned, folding it into my daily life and activities. This week I foraged some Milkweed, as it's one of the plants available this time of year. Made a healthy snack from Common Milkweed unopened flower umbels(clusters) A 30 second - 1 minute blanching in boiling water, steaming, or sautéing makes them very tasty. I like them with just a little cracked pepper & sea salt. Every part of the plant is edible after you cook it. Don't eat raw. Its leaves are the sole food of Monarch Butterfly caterpillars, so I leave those plants be if I see one. You'd be surprised the number of edible plants around you, throughout the year, not to mention medicinal value. The last 2 pictures are of some Mullein I also foraged earlier this week.

Does this province extinguish wildfires as soon as they occur, as a policy? I've read that's what California does, & it causes a build-up of dry plant materials over several years that would otherwise be burnt seasonally, at more modest levels; eventually a critical fuel mass is reached which can't be managed or contained, resulting in monstrous conflagrations.

See, playing fps keeps you vigilant; although being stuck behind another to be made a vehicle sammich, it wouldn't help so much. That's why I'm always telling n00bs to not camp doorways.
