Crispr is a gene editing technology, too. It can edit a defective gene to cure the illness it causes. It's in nascent stages, but they've cured diseases with it in studies. In the not-too distant future, many inherited illnesses will be repaired, dare I say eliminated. Speedy recovery!

Yeah, back in the neighborhoods, they look both ways, wait for traffic & lounge in back yards. Even saunter up to you if they think you have food. Some live their lives in the woods & fields surrounding neighborhoods on Fort Knox, never venturing into hunting areas. The neighborhoods are full of mature mast like Oaks, Beech, & Hickory. Deer paradise.
