I'm amazed that people who have been here 10+ years think this is a new rule when I've always know it wasn't allowed. The problem is that it's incredibly hard to prove unless you know exactly what to look for, which no offence is kind of the admins job and not ours.

The smr is supposed to be the g36. Which it was until these supposedly self-proclaimed good players wanted their cheat gun. So any complaints, take it up with them not that it will do any good. The hk is the m4. Make the smr the m4 and the hk the g36, whatever floats your boat.
Seems some still won't get it into their brains. This is not a community project. Most here did nothing but play it. Which is fine. It was never something I demanded or expected of anyone. Developers still have the final say. Whether it's free or you paid $100.
Your stupid comment about me not playing? Leaving aside not wanting to be around the toxic people around. It was because I was using my limited time modding, testing, bug hunting, and maintaining. For you. The arrogance and self-entitlement around is staggering. I have been told that I was the only major cod4 modder still left. Everyone else got sick of the selfishness among players and clans and left. 
In any case, there are a lot of posts here that need to be copied and sent to all the former modders around so they can have a good laugh. 

That one second will make a change considerable enough that the original whiners will once again shed tears in your direction.  I like it.

I was going to comment on all of this since its out of my hands now. However, you dont know me. You dont know my motivations.  Also, too many people seem to have zero clue whatsoever about the definition of fairness. While I had to think of everybody... and not just here or on this server... they think about themselves or their little cliques. In the end, this is MY mod and MY dedication of work, over years, and nobody elses.
If anything, my mistake was making this a clan-exclusive mod and having any discussions with anyone about it. Instead I should have just made it and uploaded the server packages to some website. After that, I would not be interested. A mistake I will not be making again.

This shorter time sure has killed my ability to get behind the team and wreak havoc.  It has also kept me from being able to move from where I was seen changing to a car which leaves me vunerable to enemy fire sooner without being able to defend myself because my gun doesn't come out as fast after re-spawning from a car.  The whole point in having more time after re-spawn is to have time to get into a position where I'm not compromised and can pull my gun out. 
Also, you might as well take out every map that allows you to get completely across it with combat medic since you are so worried about people being taken out from behind.  That perk in itself causes the very issue you are trying to "fix" on small maps.
 In summation, this new time limit sucks ass and is stupid, like a lot about this mod.

Whoa whoa whoa... I know I'm still kind of new, but is this how you do things around here?! You posted this topic...21 hours ago??? Is that all the time you give for everyone to see your post and respond to it? I'm just seeing this now. This is a big change and I'd think you'd give at LEAST a few days for people to see the post and respond to it. 

Before I start my rant, let me preface with a few notes:

1. I am fully aware that the change you implemented ONLY affects spawn protection from killstreaks, NOT direct out of spawn at the beginning of the round or after being defrosted.

2. I use Combat Medic and am 99% sure* they do NOT get extra time added to killstreak spawn protection, ONLY direct out of spawn. For killstreaks, it is 5-6 seconds for everyone, no matter what perks you use (*please correct me if I'm wrong here).

Okay, on to the rant...
This is in response to Sikon's thread about nobody playing late at night ("Hello, Hi, How you doin'?!"). RobMC chimes in, saying many have left because the server has been overrun with hackers. He believes they can add extra time to spawn protection to help them get kills? (never heard that one before). Then Jester mentions how spawn protection after using the RC Car is part of the problem (WHAT???).
TL;DR:
Sikon: Hi! I can only play late at night, but nobody is on anymore.
RobMC: There are too many hackers now. On top of seeing through walls, they can add time to spawn protection. :(
Jester: Yeah spawn protection from RC car is the problem. We should get rid of it.
Rugger: Cool. Will do.
So to fix the hacking problem, you want to reduce spawn protection from killstreaks?! 

Stating the obvious here: this is a team game with an emphasis on defrosting your teammates and good communication. The team that defrosts and communicates better tends to win.

This is why I use Combat Medic 99% of the time and spend most of the game looking for frozen teammates on my minimap to defrost (and yelling at everyone to "GET THE HELL OUT OF SPAWN!" lol). On top of using the RC Car and UAV Defroster to help with that, I will use spawn protection to run to a spot that allows me to defrost anyone deep in enemy territory. This is literally the reason there is a Combat Medic perk - to have that extra time to get further from spawn/into enemy territory to defrost teammates.

Another benefit of having that extra spawn protection from killstreaks is being able to infiltrate enemy spawn to take out the campers. I feel like many of the people complaining about getting shot in the back are the ones camping spawn surrounded by bettys or clays, waiting for people to appear in their scope. IMO, the two go hand in hand.

I'd ask everyone: if you're sitting there frozen and there's only one player still alive, who would you rather it be? The guy sitting in spawn, not moving, surrounded by enemies, waiting to get one last kill to pad his stats? Or the guy running his ass out of spawn, stealthily trying to defrost teammates to give you a second chance at winning the round?

If you think making this change is going to somehow impact or lessen the  hacking problem and bring people BACK to the server, I am sorry, but I beg to differ. It's only going to make it more frustrating to the players who are trying to help their team by getting to a safe place undetected to defrost teammates and take out campers.

I vote to keep it as is. Oh wait...the voting is now closed.

Get ready for people with the heist perk complaining about not being able to steal as many packages because players won't be ranging out as far.  Also, for me it's not so much about 5 extra seconds as just being invisible & being able to move to anywhere other than where I went into the killstreak reward before again becoming visible;  the whole element of surprise thing.

A few months ago I lost my engagement ring. I'd piled on a few pounds over the lockdowns and it no longer fit on my ring finger, so I had to wear it on my pinkie for a bit, but it was a little too big. So one evening it slips off my finger round my house. I noticed about 5 minutes later when I got into the car and it had gone. We looked all over but couldn't find it, naturally I was devastated.
Fast forward a few months and @SgT.Chris sends me a photo from his house. It's my engagement ring. My only theory is that it slipped off into my hoodie pocket and when I took my hoodie off round his it may have fallen out onto the floor.
Where did he find it you ask? In the cat tower, there's a little hidey hole in the base and he found it in there.
So the question is: did my tiny princess hide it to keep it safe? Or is she just a little shit who likes to steal my stuff?
