  1. I don't disagree with your points here, eidolon, but I'll make some observations as to what's really impeding this game. To your first point -- it's TeamSpeak. We've all come to congregate on TeamSpeak when playing the game, and that's fine because it's fun to have a good ol' BS session with friends while you play. But when the opponents are talking about what they are doing, or where they have spotted the other team, it defeats the purpose of a tactical game like this. The in-game chat is all that should be used in Insurgency by my way of thinking. Playing the bots is another matter, because by design it's us against the bots, and we can talk freely amongst ourselves. Playing a free-for-all death match like COD5 also lends itself to open communication because it's everyone against everyone else and so strategy doesn't matter. But that's not how the tactical and custom Insurgency servers work. I think FFA DM and US vs BOTS-style games are great for Breakfast Club groups that are as much social as they are into the game. This is where it would help to have an admin team that suggests ways to meet everyone's needs in that regard. Like promoting US vs BOTS Breakfast Club play on M, W, F, and tactical server gaming on Tu, Th, Sa, Su, as a for instance. Either way, TeamSpeak is crippling our servers as an open place for others to come play because they are not on our TeamSpeak. Yes, the in-game announcements give the TeamSpeak address and password, but that's not what outsiders are expecting, especially when there is a perfectly good in-game chat system available. On the matter of coordinating classes - especially who's going to have the explosives - that seems a more difficult matter. Maybe on other clan's servers players discuss player class on the way in. I don't hear that happening here. We all just pick a class we'd like to try, or have become somewhat accustomed to. But that's because we're noobs at this game. So as I see it: 1) We (as a clan) are noobies to this game. 2) Because of #1, we don't have game yet (i.e., strategy) 3) We are relying on the wrong communication medium. 4) A few extra kit points (not unlimited, but maybe just an additional 6pts maybe) could provide enough to add an explosive/incendiary to any kit while still limiting kit selection enough to continue making it a challenge. 5) #4 could be tightened back up over time, but may provide just the slack the clan needs in this early stage to ease into better proficiency and learn to be more tactical. And I think... 1) We need to commit to the game and not be so worried about, or start predicting the demise of our servers. 2) We need to get better time coverage by the admin team. So that, for instance, in the Breakfast Club matches, when morons come in and blatantly team kill, get votekicked, then just come right back in, that we can take a more decisive action to ban their sorry asses. We don't have that kind of coverage at the moment. 3) And finally, I'll humbly submit that it's inappropriate for the game admin team to be dismissive of the Senior Admin team's suggestions. When they suggest that we try to do this or that, coming back and saying "we will not be...[doing this or that]" seems a little pretentious to me. imho. Your mileage may vary. This is an AWESOME game. We're just experiencing growing pains with it coming out of the gate. Nevertheless, I see this being a long term game for the clan.
  2. Totally agree. Sorry, but that one's not even worth playing. Not to mention it trapped us in game - server crash or something - and we had to bail to another server.
  3. My rental thing is over, so I'm in whenever everyone else is ready.
  4. To my knowledge, no one is modifying guns to make them "useless." I did wonder about, and Labob put in place for me, a change that eliminates sway in sniper rifles on DM1 making them more like the Sniper Server rifles. I would think that improves their usefulness for most players. To my knowledge, that is the only weapons mod that has occurred. And thank you so much for telling us we all suck. I for one am overjoyed.
  5. Yup - count me in. Timing and time permitting.
  6. Yes, but variety is the spice of life. Freshness helps.
  7. Hey everyone! A new set of maps is in rotation on DM1, so go have some fun and get yourselves some kills in there!
  8. @DramaLlama - Trombone Shorty is just all kinds of good right there.
  9. Yeah, but you said "synchronize our periods." So now are you proposing Mayonnaise and Ketchup?
  10. Usually the Breakfast Club for me. So you'll be handing out tampons for these regular matches then?
  11. Yes, well I'm sure there are servers out there where you can run around naked if you wish. I don't think we have one of those, though. Petition Rugger if you must.
  12. I did a !votekick from the Coop Server yesterday. Worked fine. Wasn't sure it would because the guy had special graphics characters in his player name that rendered as empty boxes on either side of his name. I just typed the main part of his name in the !votekick and it worked. He was afk and the game couldn't proceed with him as the last man just standing there with his thumb up his butt.
  13. Point taken. And she's not going to let her age get in the way of her kinky side either. https://youtu.be/KTldBSvnhlY
  14. @@Leadfinger has a good point there, @@ldoz. You could make a few bucks on a bunch of them, I bet. As I recall, my T&C has the tow package, so I think I have a spot for one of those!
  15. @@TheLastColdBeer - Berlin's Love Life album totally blew me away. Very sensual. Terri Nunn never holds back on the innuendo.
  16. I'm definitely down for that, but I probably won't be able to get in on it because my rental unit just went on the market and I'll probably be doing showings early afternoons on weekends till it rents.
  17. So just to recap just one of the Breakfast Club (can I call it that?) Adventures of the past week... We encountered a some other clan's server one morning (because ours had gone missing from our favorites and history due to the update) that allowed so many weapon buying points that we couldn't use them all. Or more likely we just hit our weight limit and couldn't carry any more junk. But it made us want to see that happen on our servers, too. Maybe not to that extreme; it should still be a little bit of a challenge, but I think when you need to blow up a weapon cache and can't afford the explosives to get the job done, maybe we're being too restrictive. Even an additional 4 purchasing points would probably help a lot. Thanks for the great job you guys are doing. See you in the game...
  18. @@JohnnyDos - Wow. Robin Trower has put on some age. Still have that distinctive sound, though, which channels Jimmy Hendrix just a little too closely, I think. That said, Bridge of Sighs was one of my favorite albums between Sophomore and Junior years in High School. Emphasis on the High.
  19. @@JohnnyDos - Bob Seger and the Last Heard - East Side Story is a great song!
  20. Hmm... How is it that I missed The Bob Seger System all these years?
  21. Took the words right out of my mouth. Dude! Get out of my mouth! But anyway, yeah - it's really just COD5, Insurgency, and the Thursday night Crisis Wars for me at this point.
  22. Hope everything sets up just fine, Pissy. Look forward to seeing you on again.
  23. Hey everyone, A new map rotation set is in play on DM1 as of tonight. As always, thanks for playing on DM1, and thank you for playing on ALL of the XI game servers. Have fun.
  24. Hogan's Heroes - Now there is a great classic! https://youtu.be/Uqt12XeF24A (why is it that the last 2 YouTube links I've posted end up as text?)
