Have not purchased it yet but it looks pretty good with solid reviews --so if i see enough interest in our family I probably will ---(no fun playing by yourself )

we could learn alot from their culture --both of my foundation arts are based on japanese teachings , togakure rye ninjitsu and okinawan akido ---they believe that what one does reflects on not only everyone in their society but their family as well --- yes it is true 90% or better of the kids there will complete a college education --why ? its expected of them from day one to better themselves and provide a decent life for their families ---mortgages are 100 years here ---why ? honor code dictates the family will take care of it . Can you still drop your wallet on the bus or in a public place and have it returned to you intact with all your info and cash in it ? YES --an associate of mine did so last night to prove the point , left his wallet on the bus ---those that bet against him lost $50 as it was returned to him with everything in it this morning at his hotel , hand delivered by the local police apparently a citizen had turned it in when they found it on the bus. We bombed these people with our first nuclear bomb , killing thousands in the blink of an eye to stop them from destroying us in combat , yet they recovered and have chosen to teach there children not to hate us or the rest of the world that had to unite against them to beat them. I am here now doing my part to assist in the recovery and helping our allies when they need it most ---they send money and manpower to every US Diesaster relief effort ---we could do no less then return the favor when they are in need. My day yesterday consisted of locating and removing bodies from debris and transporting them with my team to be identified so the process could begin to notify loved ones of their loss--a difficult but necessary job . Having worked search and rescue for several years since my departure from the marine corps. I cannot help but see the difference in this culture ---often things like this type of devastation brings out the worst in humanity ---people take advantage of others , settle scores , murder , steal etc... etc... Gah new orleans on our own soil was every man for themselves in the first weeks post hurricane katrina.(how do I know ? I spent 8 days in the superdome with my wife as we were some of the idiots that were gonna ride out that level 5 direct hit --national guard forced us to vacate our home and took us to the shelter -- I then had to "volunteer" for search and rescue-- only way I was allowed back into the city to get to my property and rescue my animals --dog and cat that we were forced to leave behind--- I will not even begin to recite some of the horrible acts I witnessed first hand americans hurting other americans --) I have not seen or heard of any looting , rioting , people doing messed up shit to others --not that the opportunity is not there --its just not in them to bring dishonor or shame upon themselves and their families to engage in this type of behavior. I could go on and on but need to get back to work , you get the point PS: sorry for the typos --been going back and forth between japanese and english has caused my grammar to slide lol SCooBY

Hardcore (ranked) servers will come up if you select all game types and make sure you have both full and empty servers selected so it will still come up even if these conditions are present ---we also have a softcore (unranked ) server as well the direct ip's are listed on our server listings --in console do a /connect then the ip and be sure to add it to your favorites . you can also add some of our XI members to your steam friend list --our black ops players put in alot of hours on the servers and when you see them online on your buddy list just join on them or send them a message asking for an invite to the current game /server . As a clan member you will also have access to our xfire listings , showing you when members are playing Black Ops , send them a message asking to be put on their friends listing in steam , you can also join on them through xfire if you like to the current game they are playing. We use PCPitstop optimize for our network (6 computers ) along with diskeeper pro on all our drives ---have not found anything better at keeping my machines free of fragmentation and at their best for gaming . only snag we have experienced was with optimize resetting what the killer nic card changed back to default settings every time we ran our weekly scan--tech support at pcpitstop worked with me to resolve the issue and it has now become integrated into their product for those that use a killer nic card for gaming (eg.. a card that optimizes windows packeting and prioritation processes for gaming ) Prices for both fit easily into our monthly gaming budgets and honestly I would not be comfortable not using them on all my systems after being successful with them for so long ... When I assist others with optimizing their rigs for gaming dominance (or at least the machine part of it ) these programs are passed along as some of the tools to be at your best in whatever game you choose to play . although optimize will shutdown all non essential background services --remember this is also a feature of windows7 now --- goto startup and type in performance options ---select performance (eg.. gaming )/restart your machine and windows will take many of the startup processes out of the lineup until you select a different option ---may be an option for those on a limited budget. This story really touched home for me , and thank you for sharing it with us ---one of the hardest part of my job as I rose through the ranks (USMC) was notifying surviving family members of a loved ones injury or Death ---Often as the CO I treated all the men under my command with respect but also a member of my family and would endeavor to send a personal letter or contact them directly in matters such as these if i was on homesoil and they were in my area ---very difficult to not allow a piece of your soul to be chunked off on each team member lost in combat --though the marines teach us to be killing machines --we are all still human capable of empathy and emotion .

an excellent card dean and a good price for it ---one will play all the cod4 games smoothly 2 in crossfire will get you towards that magic 60 fps constant framerate at all times on all settings ---(60 fps being the most our human eyes unaided can detect anyway ) may snatch a couple up myself for that price , they are usually quite a bit more expensive ----- if your playing some of the larger mmorgs such as everquest or WoW and want to see the spell effects on high with full raid force (54 people casting at same time ) you would need to definetly go with 2 cards otherwise one will run all the cod4 series games decent enough to keep you competitive.

Had a troop carrier (eg.. suburban in 80's) when the kids were young , never had much problem with it --did regular maintenance on it and traded it in at 240 k miles .... eats mini vans for breakfast . Kudo's for buying american . SCooBY

not to be pessimistic ---but out of the 6000 or so that allegedly signed the petition to not buy and play modern warfare 2 due to them not allowing us to have mods , our own servers etc... to attempt to keep out the hackers ---it became the #1 selling game of all time . Hmm how many of those people do you really think honored their word and did not purchase the game supporting this slap in the face to gamers ? it will be the same with this game , people will purchase the map packs to not be left out --I can understand the kids doing it ---peer pressure is a bitch --you just wanna belong and be with your friends , facebook and other social networks would not be the money generating .personal information gathering behmoths they are today save for the successful marketing campaign to age groups still highly succeptable to peer pressure or the need to belong . its something you learn as you get older ---when your young you wanna be popular , often when you get older you just wanna be left alone to do your thing part of our social conditioning i guess . I wont buy the map packs on principle and not think twice about it as I have other games to occupy my time with ---it is my hope that enough of the the gaming community will not support it that it may help make a difference to how these companies treat us --but I wont hold my breath this time ---last time i did it and fell out of my chair it scared the crap out of my wife SCooBY

I know this will probably be not much help but --I really don't pay much attention to maps , I like new ones ---I play when I have the time , drink a few beers and have fun --being a run and gun type player , I prefer non sniper maps but its really no biggie , I enjoy the challenge of covering alot of open ground to get to the enemy ...

It patched last night when I logged in ---nice to see a patch and looking forward to them fixing some of the more annoying problems such as server instability.

Bah I'm telling you C4 them --it works for me !!! I have people that I killed with C4 6 months ago still chasing me around trying to get even I see a camper and my fingers automatically move to C4/bazooka /or knife them I cant help it !

/+activate in console no spaces allows you to defrost your teamates by just pointing your weapon at them /-activate when you need to pick up another weapon (although if you run out of ammo in your primary you always have unlimited pistol shots and of course your knife what else would you need ? ) /-activate in console also will reset it to default allowing you to proximity unfreeze --eg... multiple teamates instead of just the one you are pointing at . I bind mine to my lachesis mouse keys for quick access on the fly I would suggest this as well as who has time to type while evading enemy fire ? as for the max fps and game settings one can find many postings on line that are accurate and will be of benefit---- play around with them to find what works best for you -- always build the best system you can afford and try to stay up to date with what others are running against you ---today its multi --gpu's multi core processors --gaming mice and pads and as much high speed ram as your motherboard will hold --- ALWAYS disable or shutdown background processes that you are not using specifically for gaming ---if its not helping you kill the enemy in game its not worth wasting system power on !!!! windows 7 running in performance set-up is usually sufficient if you dont feel like messing around with it too much . AlWAYS remember you will adjust to whatever system and internet connect you have over time ---Learn to X strafe (line of bullets from left shoulder to right hip and vice versa ) will improve your hits/kills wont always gurantee you a kill but your percentage of bullets hitting the enemy will increase--- practice with it until it becomes automatic for you to do ---this will also assist you with bunny hoppers and people that prone on you --x strafe you will always hit them no matter which way they move . Just like in real life AIM FOR CENTER MASS ( eg.. chest area ) natural weapon rise will increase your chance of headshots and you know you will be hitting enemy and doing more damage---the head area is a SMALLER target don't aim for it , too much chance of a miss. Practice moving a different way each time you encounter an enemy ---try not to be predictable ---experienced players will pick up on your moves and be able to counter it effectively . KNOW YOUR GAME ---in freezetag the most important thing is not just killing the enemy --its defrosting your teamates to give you a better chance of winning the map/round --trust me you will be more loved by people you play with for your outstanding defrost skills then your high frags. especially if you are the one that will not sweat going deep into enemy territory to help out a frozen teammate --they will remember it and surprise you by returning the favor when you are stuck in what seems at first to be a "crap I am going to be frozen this whole round spot " Learn what works for you eg.. I am naturally hyper and have trouble sitting still so I am more a run and gun type player ---this often means I have high deaths so I have to constantly work on offsetting that with high kill/hit ratio -- don't let others tell you what you should be doing --if camping works for you--- do it --just realize a stationary target is much easier to hit than a moving one at least getting a few kills will keep you playing as opposed to getting pounded regularly while you are learning ! Most important ---keep a cool head and a positive attitude by continuing to play with experienced players you will have no choice but to become better playing with them . eg.. realize you will have your good games and bad ---its the fun hanging out with your brother's and sisters online that counts not if you got high score !
