We just had an A-Mazing XI Fest 2022, and we cannot wait until the next one!  Here's a suggestion on how to be sure you can attend  🙂 
Open a savings account at a bank you don't have any other accounts with.  Do not get a debit card for this account.  This will prevent you from being able to transfer money to other accounts or to easily withdraw money.  There are approximately 46 weeks until the next XI Fest.  Think of all the things you spend $ on, on a weekly basis like Starbucks, pizza, drive-thru's, etc. and add that all up.  If you choose instead to put some or all of that money into that savings account I mentioned, then by Fest time next year you should have quite a chunk of change set aside for this event.
If you put $25/week in, you'll have about $1,150; $20/week - $920, and even $10/week will give you $460 toward your trip.  Most of us can't come up with all of the money at once, but by saving these smaller amounts regularly, you'll just forego those incidental purchases throughout the year and can look forward to an amazing time no matter where the next XI Fest is held.
Now I know this will not work out for every person, but it's just one option of handling the finances for planning a trip with a bunch of idiots 😎
Location should become less of an issue if you've prepared yourself to have enough funds to get to wherever the next one is held.  Heck, we came from Minnesota, Kentucky, Kansas, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, South Carolina, and even the UK to be at this one, so don't let that stop you from showing up next year 💕

Still working on other specifics like the final rate and room detaiils etc.  Intend to have more by info by the end of tomorrow.  Wanted to get you the dates so you could make arrangements for time off, flights etc.

This exactly.  I use Stealth, and if I get into a car in front of sentry so that I can hack it with Hacker, I die by the sentry no less, and lose my car ... only one of those should happen
Also, as a Stealth user, Claymores should not go off, yet they do (and it's not because someone else sets it off, in protection or not)...

Something needs to be done about the RCs.  I shouldn't die when my screen goes completely black while changing to a car.  And, if I die due to that, I shouldn't lose my RC when I respawn as I never used it.  As soon as my firearm disappears when I try to change to anything, I should be protected from any form of enemy fire as I can no longer protect myself.   I'm with Drimp on the EMPs.  I have never liked that it effects my vision, even in the last mod.  My eyes are not electronic.

I agree the explosion when shooting emp mines falls under this as well.  And it's not that is shouldn't kill, it's just that it's more powerful than it used to be.

The problem I see with the emp mines is that they hang around long after players who placed them are dead, they go off multiple times in game, and they also spontaneously explode when you go by them at some point. Doesn't seem like an emp mine should be able to have double duty function  as an emp and a betty/claymore.

Ps:Holly shit that Desert Eagle is a beast, have a mark on his face because of the recoil i guess and i nearly lost my right thumb when shooting this cannon !!!

All you need is the standard for now, the upgrades just have some skins that look nice but no real benefits.

Me and @ worked on trying to convert some call of dookie players at the fest so couldn't play. Someone has to show the idiots the light.

It's gonna be about a 9 hour drive for my wife and I, but it's the first one that is actually do able, so count us there (barring no disasters).

 
XI Fest 2016 will be at Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN with activities from Thursday evening through Saturday evening, Oct. 20-22. Since I live nearby, Rugger has asked me to coordinate.   You will want to arrive Thursday daytime and depart Sunday. Or, spend the week - this area is family oriented and a great place for a vacation. We will be investigating room rates and will determine an official XI motel/hotel but you may wish to book a cabin for the week.   The premier event will of course be Saturday evening's XI Bash And Crawl, where we'll have dinner, booze and chat, with no doubt various of you crawling back to your rooms at some point early Sunday.   Several official XI events will be planned Friday and Saturday and if there are any among the hundreds that you'll find in a Google search, please recommend them on this thread. Rugger will be doing a separate thread on attendees.   Don't miss this one. We plan to make it the best XI Fest yet!
