Does anybody know if DDR 2 Memory would work on a DDR 3 MB. Would hate to toss 8 gig out the door. But need another pci slot and mines all full so a new MB is needed for that machine ?

I'm not sure but I think it use to be a sound card driver issue with some onboard sound chips. Like realtec. Just remove your driver and let the OS reload its generic driver. But as I said not to sure been a long time sience I installed cod4

Well what you have to do is eliminate all the possiblities and what ever is left is whats wrong. Start with using the game in windowed mode. Bring down your console and enter seta r_fullscreen 0 Thats zero You can also add that through you user profile .cfg file . When the game crashes if theres an error message it will be behind your game screen. Go crtl atl delete and look for the error message and bring it to the front. Turn off you anti virus just to test the game and see if its the problem. Get the map before you get it from our redirect maybe there's a conflick there ? Good luck let us know if that helps or hinders.

I don't know why it works on some mods and not on others. From all I've read about this problem it seems to come back to the way the mod csv is written. So there's not much I can do except make the map much smaller. And that would be no fun. But I,m always looking for answers to this issue.
