hes been doing good right now but still gets fevers, right now hes in surgery to biopsy nodule in his lung and to change his port but they had a issue with his port that they are removing it cause its bad and are letting it heal before they put another. Thanks for Prayers Heres a update Each day is better than the next. Matthew had been awake for a good part of the day and off oxygen. Yay!! This mornings rounds they discussed giving the bronc wash a Coyle more days as it can take longer to grow of fungal vs bacteria and if negative, they will consult with the surgeon at the end of the week with biopsy early next. With all this improvement, Matthews Dad wanted to give him an early surprise to reward him for being so brave and have him a set of Dragon Ball Z fusion figures. He got so excited when he saw it that his heart monitor went off. So great to see s smile on his face. His nurse came running in cause the heart monitor alarm went off lol

Thanks for your prayers guys n gals heres a update on my son Update: Your prayers are working!! Matthew has made some significant improvements in the last 24 hrs. His lungs show decreasing of fluid, his heart rate is down and he has not had a high fever since Saturday night / early Sunday morning. He is still struggling with respiratory distress and there is some concern with how much his heart rate has dropped (last night it got down to 48bpm) so they are watching him closely still but he improved enough to come back down to the Oncology floor before even expected. Matthew is also sleeping for most of the day and aside from a few bites of some tortilla chips, has not had much of an appetite which may be a good thing being that he is on a clear food diet at the moment. Met with both Oncologist and Infectious Disease team today and as of tonight, we have no positive results back from the Bronc Wash. If the results continue to be negative, then Wednesday or so both teams and we are to discuss biopsy and what it entails. I am moved more and more each time with how many people are praying, supporting and loving our son who most have never even met and still feel and treat him as if he was their own. It makes a mother speechless and emotional, especially in trying times. Thank you's will never be enough!
