  2. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANEY!! Sorry I'm late but worth the wait I like some others don't get a chance to log onto this site everyday and therefore gotta play catch up on posts but I would never pass up a chance to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! "Bartender a Beer for this Birthday girl and me . . . . . .put it on my account . . . . .
  3. I recently upgraded everything but the OS with a MSI 970A-G46 mb AMD FX4 core black edition 8 gb ram larger power supply Nvidia GTX 650. while it might not be a killer system its not a dog either. Of course I want to go better on the graphics card but i think upgrading the OS is the major concern. As far as programs I would potentially lose your right the amount of freeware out there is amazing so i'm not letting that hold me back, I need to check and see if Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw 10 has 64 bit drivers i can download but i'm sure they wont be free. I've just been too comfortable with XP for too long its a great system and being human naturally i'm resistant to change but change is good so it looks like windows 10 is where i should be. @@Sonovabich Thats exactly what happens to me and i just click back in . . . . its annoying but i just figure its part of the Insurgency experience . . .lol
  4. i'm using GeForce GTX 650 with the 353.62 driver. My problem probaby lies in the fact i'm still using Windows XP sp3 32 bit . . . . . . .lol I know I need to upgrade but i'm dreading the reinstallation of all the programs and i know i will lose some that arn't compatable with 64 bit OS. The up side to upgrading is I already have 8gb of ram installed which i can only use 4gb because xp 32 only sees 4gb so by upgrading to a newer OS I will instantly have 4 gb more ram. OK @@djMot give me your well respected recomendation on what OS I should upgrade to. I've been putting it off for way too long now, the wife has Windows 7 and I kinda like it but its getting old now as well. I have heard about windows 8 having some problems and know very little about windows 10. I dont want a bunch of problems with my older programs not working with a new system. Duel bootXp with a newer OS? School me this old dog wants to learn some new tricks.
  5. I've been having the same problems. 2 broken files and I go through the hassle of reinstalling the game . . .it gets a bit old but the game is worth it. It would be nice to find out it its Steam, the game itself or the alignment of the cosmos . . . lol
  6. That's some scary stuff . .. wildfires burning through dry grass and trees add a little wind and it becomes an unstoppable force. As the fires grows it begins to create more wind that turbocharges the flames . . .literally Hell on Earth. Waking up to thick layers of ash all over everything outside is a saddening reality that somebody's house, beautiful forest land and everything in it has been destroyed and leaves you wondering if those same deadly flames could reach your house. Most fires like these are started by carelessness, I remember as a kid picnicking at a place called Lytle creek in the San Bernardino National Forest when up the road an 1/8 of a mile or so we could smoke rising up and soon there was a lot of smoke and flames coming down the canyon we rushed to pack up what we could and headed home. Later we heard on the TV news that the fire was started by kids lighting paper plates on fire and flying them like frisbees. (And the parents were where?) As you know @little_old_man living in California means living with the threat of wildfires and if you have acreage how important it is to make a defensible perimeter around your property cuz when it comes that garden hose will be useless. Glad your families homes made it through such a horrible nightmare.
  7. Very sad to hear that . . such a heartbreaking loss . .. . prayers for you and your family.
  8. I hope your mom and wife are feeling better. Your truck can be replaced and those employees needed to quit so you can find better quality help to replace them. As far as the >XI< FEST you will be missed but . . . . . . there is always next year. I'm really sorry to hear so many drastic things hitting you all at once . . . its tough to handle it all. I think the key to getting through things like this is to stay positive . . try and find the good aspects of the problem and focus on that. Good luck and hang in there.
  9. I think you have had 1 too many congratzizz and its time for a round of CHEERS!!
  10. @ANGU5 have you been getting @@Gatorgirl muddy again !?? Bout time! Love the jeep @Hemps
  11. Thank you everyone!! No one likes to get old but hanging around a bunch of >XI<Idiots sure makes it more fun. and yes @@little_old_man I did go fishing
  12. Very Cool!! Thats whats nice about Jeeps you can take the doors off real easy and the soft top option is smart too cuz you never know when a shower is gonna turn into a downpour. Nice wheels and with the rebuild you got the power to turn em. Next time i'm in Illinois i will have to take it out and get it dirty for ya . . .
  13. I washed my hands befiore I played with it . . . . .lol
  14. You said we could play around with it
  15. 39 days ago Newegg shipped my new hard drive to me. The Western digital (black) 1 TB hard drive wasn't expensive (about $60) but wasn't the cheapest either. Newegg's return policy is 30 days with no grace at all but the manufacture has a 2 year warrenty but once you pay for shipping it will cost me around $25.00. The money is not the issue it's the fact that most of my gaming stuff was on there . . . . ..yes I make back up copies but I didn't feel like a 39 day old hard drive would take a shit on me . . . . .I underestimated the quality of the workmanship of kids in Thailand. So for the last 3 days i have been trying to restore everything and its a total bitch. I'm not sure when I will get back to playing Insurgency and can you tell I havent been able to get my spell check to work? I need to invent an easy way to extract data from hard drives that are dead I would be able to fly my >XI< family members to all the >XI< fests and start a >XI< fishing derby. . . . ..ok enough day dreaming . . .back to looking for .dll's and ,exe to restore everything. TFUD (Totaly Fucked Up Deal) I cant even get online yet with my main computer I'm using my back up rig and its so lame
  16. Male plants dont "bud" they just form pollen sacks (and sit around waiting for a sammich) male plants are not as potent as females. Once your plants reach around a foot or so cut back the amount of light they receive to say10 hours a day and they will begin to show their sex. The females will produce a little white hair at the base of the leaves and the males a little pollen sack as mentioned earlier. once youdetermine the sex you can pull the males (unles you want seeds) and then resume as much light as possible (24hr light cycle is good) for the females. once your female plants reach the height you want just cut the sunlight again and the buds will form and you should have some good medicine. Some "experts" claim that pot has no medicinal value . .well i'm no expert but i do have some hands on knowledge of how pot effects people (your results may vary). First of all is "the Munchies" . . . .Getting you appitite back after chemo can be a problem for patients and pot helps to give them back the appitite that is so important to recovery. The rest of the effects are relaxation and laughter and we all know laughter is the best medicine. I'm Sorry to hear aboout your friends father in law . . . . . do whatever you can to make him feel good as you would like others to do for you . . . .good luck.
  17. I bet you thought your Birthday was over . . . .right? well . . .WRONG . . . I'm still Drinking . . . . . . . .Happy Birthday!!!

  21. Very cool! I remember riding my bicycle around the OMS Ontario Motor Speedway track before they tore it down (many years ago) the corners were so steeply banked! It was a long way around that track on my bike (2.5mi) but the experience put the racing bug in me . . . . . that was a great track. I have attended several NASCAR races at the Auto Club Speedway from a suite on the start-finish line and that was a race fans dream seat. Some things in life you "need" . . . . .I "need" to take some hot laps around that track!! I better get started picking up aluminum cans . . lol
  22. That is a very nice shot @@BoomSlang . . tight in focus and good lighting . . .well done
  23. I used to go to Yosemite pretty often back in the day and the hiking was spectacular and it was one of the few places you could get a good dose of fresh air (when the state wasn't on fire)the smell of the pines and wild flowers was intoxicating . . . .wait maybe it was the bud we were smoking that was so intoxicating . . .lol Enjoy Yosemite @@eidolonFIRE its one of the last great places in California. Have you visited the Giant Sequoias yet? you will find amazing shots there too. We used to call those "blue belly" lizards we would catch em and put a string around their neck and walk them like a dog . . . . .always set them free unharmed . . . .except that one . . hmmmm
  24. That's a 5,9 Cummins diesel and even though I bleed ford blue that is without a doubt the best diesel engine on the planet. Great gas mileage, huge power and enough torque to climb a tree in a nice package and now you got some mods on it .. . . . . . . . . . .. . have fun!!! Be careful . . . . but not good
  25. Those pics Rock @@Olive A Thread dedicated to just sunrises and sunsets would be nice
